Romo didn't qualify for the US Open this year, shot 9 over, not good enough. Difficult conditions though.

More like thanks to your QB running the slowest 2 minute offense of all time ;)

Are you now playing 48 minute games Rich? What are your thoughts? I hate it.

Got a few friends at Kent, sounded like a cracking game.

Britbowl at the Crystal Palace in September.

I think he was better in his outing before this one if I remember rightly ...

Romo is the catalyst for getting the rookies in early for a spot of training ... damn I like what this guy does, takes his position very seriously indeed ...

:D

You'd think after Martellus Bennett declared his undying love for Jon Kitna, that Romo would be in there competing for the starting job :afro:

Tongue in cheek I'm sure. Or dillusional which wouldn't suprise me about a Cowboys player!

Kitna did very well when he stepped in for Romo when our only recent memory of a back up was Brad Johnson the year before ... and look how that turned out!

I know it means nothing at the moment, but was on WilliamHill.com looking at ways of making (losing) money & thought I'd check the early odds for the new season. This is to win the Super Bowl outright!

Any suprises here?

7/1 - PACKERS, Patriots
10/1 - Eagles
12/1 - Steelers, Chargers, Falcons
16/1 - Cowboys, Saints, Jets, Colts
20/1 - Giants, Ravens, LIONS
25/1 - Chiefs, Texans, Buccaneers
33/1 - VIKINGS, BEARS, 49ers
40/1 - Raiders, Rams
50/1 - Titans, Jaguars, Dolphins
66/1 - Redskins, Seahawks, Broncos, Bengals
100/1 - Browns/Cardinals
150/1 - Panthers, Bills

I like what I hear from the Cowboys about new defensive coach Rob Ryan. Kind of coach we needed and one that certainly started to sort the Browns D line last season ... probably not quite so much to do for us in comparison. Interesting times ahead.

I'm surpised there aren't 6 more zeroes attached to the back of 150...

Hands up all those that had the Lions being a top 13 team in football.

Best value there is for the Rams.

saxoneagle 13-05-2011 03:58 PM

No value at all in the Chargers, Eagles or Giants as two out of those three won't even make the play-offs. :p

Good value on the Steelers, thought they'd be a bit less than that considering they have been there twice in the last 3 years and are still a very strong football team. If you believe Rex Ryan then you should be putting your entire life savings on the Jets at 16/1 as he has "guaranteed" the Jets will win the Superbowl next season.........he's fat and deluded, don't bet a penny.

I like the Ravens value at 20/1 as well as the Bears at 33/1, if you can find odds for a team to just make the playoffs then stick some on the Lions, great D Line now which is going to be very difficult to run on, stud receiver and if they can keep Stafford healthy they are going to have one hell of a season next year.

pauldrulez 13-05-2011 04:39 PM

Taking the Value on Rams, Texans and Bucs when I bother to do my bets

Can see the Bucs winning their division this year depending on a free agent or 2.

Swanny32 13-05-2011 04:44 PM

Think it's a bit of an insult having the Patriots priced at 7/1 with the current champs yet the Steelers who actually won the AFC priced back at 12/1. I hate the Patriots so much.

ardeo 13-05-2011 04:48 PM

Cardinals look decent shout, if they get Kolb or anoth solid QB, they have the tools to mount a challenge, especially as they have a chance of taking the NFC West.

Probably be one of the first 6 to win it and wouldn't be surprised to see both SB teams from first 6. Cowboys probably have best chance of upsetting that though. Eagles suck on D still too much to be 3rd favourites. Packers should probably be clearer favourites as they will be better next year with a fit team and Rodgers a year even better!
