Cracking game! Football most definitely is back!!

oz_da II 09-09-2011 05:23 AM

Listened to it on internet radio at work.

Looking foreward to watching it at some point this weekend. :p

jazman 09-09-2011 07:30 AM

Lalalalalalalalalalala *ears in fingers* doing my best to avoid the score so I can watch the game tonight ... Lalalalalalalala

NFL is back Baby!!!! :lux:

Great game, woke up at 5.45 to watch it before work.

Awful playcall on the untimed down in my opinion. Brees was hot, why run it?

Think we'll see high-scoring for a few weeks from teams like this with their established QB systems.

Special Teams and Defense looked awful on both sides. A sign of the lockout.

I am looking to the Cowboys this year. This will be their year.

***SPOILER***

First day of my well needed holiday in the south of France and I spend the whole of the first morning watching the game.....brilliant start to the season although not so good for my fantasy teams! Very suspect play to end the game on though, was really hoping they'd convert it, alas my prediction of Packers by 7 was almost bang on.

Looking forward to the Sunday games now......oh and Gamepass is bloody superb! Anyway, sounds like my Mum and wife are back from the shops, time to go unload the car and sit by the pool all afternoon in 30 degree heat.

Speak later suckers!!!

GO EAGLES!!

Belichick show 'A Football Life' airing on Sept 15th on NFL network. Apparently a camera crew followed him around for a whole year.

I wonder if they did it in secret to pay homage to the great man?

Following the most boring man in professional sports for a whole year?

Wow, that'll be fascinating.

jazman 10-09-2011 09:27 AM

Watched the GB/NO game last night in full. Glad I made that decision. What a game to kick off the new season, both teams going at it and some great touchdown returns .. not least from rookie Cobb. If that is a sign of things to come then bring it on!

Even for a Dumfin, that's an idiotic comment

Randy Moss has been spotted at New Orleans Saints' headquarters.

He's only boring if you don't understand his way. Why tell the media anything if you don't have to.

You only have to see the behind the scenes bits to see what he's like.

He's way too sly to give away any of his actual 'methods' on camera.

Anyway, the important thing is that you Patsies enjoy it. I'd temporarily forgotten the rule that the NFL and the wider world revolves around your team.

AddiscombeEagle 11-09-2011 09:47 AM

The season is truly back, Pats baiting has begun and in eight hours we have ravens steelers, proper football, none of that high scoring we saw on Thursday but hitting and defense. How its meant to be.

It's Gameday Baby! But today is tinged with sadness being the 10th anniversary of 9/11. A very emotional day for all concerned and what with the players involved in their first game in a season that was close to not happening it's going to be quite draining I'm sure. My thoughts are with all those that lost someone on that terrible day and only hope that like me, sport can give them a few moments away from the strains of real life ... RIP.

I haven't watched anything football related other than games live for about three years, but sure, if you think I'll watch it then all power to you.

The point is though that our generation has one head coach with three rings. If it was any other than a Pat, you'd all be wanking over it and fighting over who was first to see it and what gems of information you'd discovered.

I understand though - you haven't won a SB since 1974 so you've forgotten what a SB winning coach looks like. You even surrounded one of the best QBs ever by such dross that he only made one big game appearance.

Never mind though, you might break .250 this year.

:o

Don't you start. I have enough with my jingoistic, xenophobic in-laws.

:D
