Ravens trying to win in the most dramatic style week after week. Wish they would just win easily for once.

I tend to disagree, the beauty of the NFL is doing what is necessary to win. He shouldn't change his block because the kicker is less likely to stop his player. As long he wasn't trying to hurt him it just looks like a bigger player doing his job, looks worse because the kicker is a smaller target.

The application of the block was fine until the crown of his helmet caught the punter's jaw. Might get a fine. |
Blocking is fine but as VHA said... It ends up being effectively helmet to helmet which is not legal.
|
I get that it isn't legal but the linebacker is so much bigger than the kicker his legal target is tiny. I don't believe there was any intent, he was just trying to do a job for his team.
I would want my special teams going all out regardless of the player. |
Is it just me or are the Ravens starting to find their mojo?
To go into Detroit and pretty much shut down Stafford & co is pretty damn impressive. I wouldn't want to face them in the play offs. |
I have seen pretty much every ravens game this season and bar Boldin and an unfit Pitta I think they are a better team than last years superbowl winning team. Obviously the running game is still struggling but they have still done ok.
To be honest I think they will still miss out on the play offs as big ask stoll to beat Pats and Bengals whilst Dolphins have easy run in. |
I think the Ravens need to get a run game going at some point. The Patriots have the worst run defense in the league (when Spikes is off the field... there's a 2-3YPC drop-off with Collins in on Nickel D), if Rice cannot run big next week, I don't think the Ravens can win it all this year. Whereas it's time for Ridley and Blount to run the rock. Webb is a much better CB against the smaller guys, so he is likely going to take Edelman or Amendola out of the game.
However, if the Ravens can run the ball, then Smith is the type of receiver that Talib has struggled with. Smaller, niftier and quicker. A healthy Dennard and McCourty would be doubling him I assume, with Talib likely inside on Pitta. The big key is Vereen. Miami schemed him out of the game, and the result was 20+ catches for the little white guys that are New England's consistent wide receivers (Edelman, Amendola, Collie). Hopefully Thompkins or Dobson are back soon, as they are good red zone targets. Throwing a back shoulder fade to Edelman and Amendola isn't that much of a percentage play!! |
I am happy the game has been moved, suits all of us in the UK.

Dennis Pitta might make a big difference for Baltimore now, so it wouldn't surprise me if they put a run together. Marlon Brown has given them another option as well.
Flacco knows how to win in the playoffs, if they sneak in. |

At least I could've watched Gamepass any other time! I might just ignore Twitter, wake up early and watch the condensed one. |
Surprised Balti have a lack of a run game. All they seemed to do last year was run!
