Good question. :p

As Elliott mentioned it earlier, here are the Fins' throwbacks that they wore in the 2003 Thanksgiving game in Dallas.

Whilst people on here seem to love to slate LT, I can't help but think he is actually doing the correct thing.

Only one person knows the pain he is suffering and how uncomfortable it is when he runs or tries to push off from his foot. The coaching staff might think he is running OK but how many sportsman would try and hide an injury just so they could play?

I think Antonio Gates said earlier in the week the muscle has torn away from the bone. I'm amazed he's even doubtful if that's true. Sounds horrendous.

To clarify as well, I think the current problem is the groin injury, not the turf toe he had earlier in the year.

BTW I don't love to slate LT. On his day he's a fantastic player and I'd sooner see him return to form.

Isn't the Cotton Bowl in Texas :D

Seriously, it was a three way tie and Okla gave out the biggest spanking. From memory the Texas Okla game had serious controversy. I thought everyone was saying Okla got robbed (even after video evidence )

If in the final weeks if the game was replayed at Texas I think Okla would have sorted you out. Okla threw the game away yesterday. You just scraped your bowl game.

I agree about Utah. It's between them and Florida as number 1.

Can we keep the College Football talk in the right place before someone brings up OJ's mob as a having #1 credentials?

Oh, and Dallas is nearer to Norman, Oklahoma than it is to Austin if that's of any interest in the Cotton Bowl argument.

Go on Paul. Admit that your old logo kicked the ass out of the present.

Elvis the Pat even has a Dallas Cowboy Star stuck to his head :D

(A face on a flag.....what the f uck :D :D.)

Just that the Cotton Bowl is in Texas, just my jokey point. I'd say most Texans think that Oklahomans can suck their cocks :o

Don't the Jets wear throwbacks all the time already? Or are they talking about that ghastly blue/gold uni from when the team was the New York Titans?

I love the old one, there is nothing wrong with the Flying Elvis though especially when its on a proper flag.

I dont know what they will be wearing shirt wise. But its for the 50th anniversary of the Patriots. I think we should have worn the red for all the home games, or even all the home division games.

All I can remember (will find the facts in a minute) is that its being worn for one home and one away game. I'd imagine its at home to the Jets and away to the Dolphins as the Phins wear white at home when its hot (is that right?)

pauldrulez 09-01-2009 02:51 PM

Ignore that. Nothing to do with Dolphins

Quote:

The original AFL franchises will celebrate the 50th anniversary season by wearing throwbacks in weeks 3 and 6, in 'AFL' matchups. The Pats will wear red, and white, against the Jets and Bills.

Fellow Palace bruv. College football is so integrated into NFL. In nearly every game the players announce the college they played football at.

Tony Romo...Eastern Illinois
Travis Wilson...Oklahoma
Roy Williams...Texas
Zach Thomas...Texas Tech.....

You get my drift :o

Paully, well said. I bet Pat will be back full time some time like the Jets logo.

A family member got me an Elvis cap for Xmas a few years back. I took it back to the shop and get it exchanged for a Pat the Pat:p

pauldrulez 09-01-2009 03:07 PM

Jerod Mayo... Linebacker ... Tennessee.

Wes Welker... Wide Receiver... Texas Tech

Matt Cassel... Quarterback... I didn't play in college;) USC

Thats how they do their own announcements on CBS I think.
