What a dishonest woman? ;)

Bring on the Chiefs :lux:

jazman 04-09-2008 12:47 PM

:D I'm sure she'd have plenty of offers ... Do we know by the way if they are still an item?

Strathclyde Eagle 04-09-2008 12:48 PM

Tipster in the Metro today picked the Jaguars to win it all. :clown:

jazman 04-09-2008 12:48 PM

Isn't the first game tonight?

Benzhiyi 04-09-2008 12:51 PM

Yup. Woohoo!

pauldrulez 04-09-2008 12:52 PM

Yep, the luckiest Superbowl champs of all time against my new surprise pick for this year to get there. The more I look at the Skins, the more I think they have a chance.

Will post all of my varying bets on the season this evening when I get home from work á la saxon and before him Grim.

jazman 04-09-2008 12:57 PM

Luckiest? Is that because they beat your Pat's? ;)

Strathclyde Eagle 04-09-2008 01:08 PM

Yep, lucky that they went on the road and beat three opponents, including one in horrifically cold weather, then put together a terrific defensive gameplan and beat the Pats.

I don't know who I'd pick as the luckiest Super Bowl champion of all-time. Super Bowl V and the mistake-riddled Colts?

pauldrulez 04-09-2008 01:12 PM

Nah, I was joking, you've all heard about Clintons shoulder, what about Bradys foot in that game.

IMHO it was karma, we "massaged the truth" within Spygate, and it came back to bite Brady in the arse and in Strahans case many times.

It all comes down to 4th and 13, 53yd FG and they go for it. Gostkowski wouldnt have missed.

I wonder if all the negativity around the Pats would have been the same has that 70 yard bomb to Moss worked, and that was inches from the best catch of all time in a Superbowl.

saxoneagle 04-09-2008 01:29 PM

I'll be cheering for the Skins tonight and I'll probably get a little bit excited every time Manning eats turf.

pauldrulez 04-09-2008 01:31 PM

Especially head first.

I wish. The Skins are having problems on offense already

It probably isn't on YouTube, but go to the NFL.com videos site and search for Lynn Swann. Probably still better than Tyree's helmet catch.

jazman 04-09-2008 01:52 PM

Will be good to see what we're up against to be honest so looking forward to the game tonight.

:D

Straws, clutching, at.

On the night you were simply outplayed and outclassed.

And it was beautiful. :lux: :D

nookiebear 04-09-2008 02:20 PM

And you were outclassed by the apparently rubbish Manning brother, haha! :)

Strathclyde Eagle 04-09-2008 02:38 PM

If Eli is the rubbish Manning brother I dread to think what Cooper's self-esteem is like.

(Oops, medical reasons. I'm off to feel guilty now.)

Haha he had a spinal injury, didn't he?

Jason Taylor expected to play a few downs tonight :lux:

The Pats might not have even been in the Superbowl had it not been for Rivers' injury (playing with a torn ACL) and Tomlinson's injury (injured knee). Chargers were in the red zone three times, and had we had Tomlinson, things may have been completely different.

But that's the thing. It's if's and but's. The Giants won, the Pats didn't. Time to move on :D
