Anyone else unable to find the Surrey live stream tonight?

When the Surrey batsmen turn up we can be unplayable. The lack of consistency is so frustrating.
This is a good match. Superb powerplay from the 'Rey.
And just as I type that the powerplay pairing is broken. Oops
Yeah as soon as I typed about the consistency the wickets started tumbling.
Gubbins bowling absolute filth is unplayable.:D
Oh hello...huge over.
Jamie Overton you beast!
Fantastic win! Especially when the fake County of Middlesex had it in their hands.
Great match that!

Good to be there again tonight. Not a drop of rain & the view from the new Lock Balcony is a bit special.
Great finish by Overton & Pope after Jacks had set it up. Back on Thursday for the Sri Lanka ODI with 50% capacity. |
Good performance by Atkinson too
Very enjoyable night at the oval.

Kent beat Essex last night by 28 runs on DLS.
We batted first and scored 167-9. After the way we started I would have liked more. In reply Essex were 31-4 after five overs when they went off becasue of nearby lightning and then it rained and they didn't resume. |

Good night and the rain held off no problem. What a quality player Pope is. Not really the biggest of hitters but a quick accumulator of runs. He reminds me of another class Surrey oldie Graham Thorpe. Our top order batting line up needs Finch back. Burns and Smith although talented red ballers are not 20/20 players. Will be a struggle to finish in the top 4. |
Bit of a moan but even in the reduced capacity at the Oval on Friday, there were still plenty of loud, drunk idiots, many of whom were not wearing masks when moving between their seats & the bars.
Also, unimpressive scenes at Edgbaston on Thursday…. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...ngham-57609274 |
Bloody rain. Hope it is not a 6 over game as we will likely lose.

Another rained off game. Three now means we cannot pull away from Somerset in 5th in the South Group who have two games in hand.

Sussex furious :p |
Was just about to post the same: the umpires gifted us a point.
I'll try to fire up the dl calculator to see if a wicket could have won it for Surrey. |
Quote:
No doubt Sussex will be annoyed (to put it mildly) but can they really say they deserved a win? I'm just grateful for small mercies. |

A point not too bad for Surrey. A win at Glamorgan would see them in a decent position. We are all looking forward to see Jamieson in the County games. What a difference he could make. |

Surrey v Kent 20/20 9th July is up on site now as social distancing.
Surrey lost to Glamorgan yesterday by 1 run. Jamison ( 31 runs off 15 balls) was run out off the last ball!
Mark Stoneman has gone on loan to Yorkshire for the duration of the T20. Surrey playing Hampshire tonight. |
Quote:
Great bowling & fielding performance to steal a win vs Hants tonight. Almost makes up for the poor, last-ball loss to Glamorgan last night.
I thought Surrey were at least 20 short when they went 26/5 off the last 5 overs, but turns out it was the beginning of their innings that was the anomaly and they won easily.
Atkinson shone again
And Overton took 4 overs instead of just the 1 to conceded 14 runs!

After 11 games! Well done Dom Solanki! |
Sussex tonking at Lords has done both Surrey and Kent a favour. Big game on tomorrow night. Whoever wins will be in a good position.

To be fair Olympian2 the North Group is just as tight.
As it stands with 3 / 4 / 5 games left every team could mathematically qualify however Leicestershire are one point away. Hampshire have only played 9 games and could (although I don't think will as they've looked awful) still finish on 15 points. Top Six in the South: Surrey W L NR W L - 5 Kent NR L W L W - 5 Gloucestershire L W W W NR - 6 Somerset W L W W W - 8 Sussex L NR NR L NR - 3 Essex W W L W W - 8 Top Six in the North: Notts W W T W T - 8 Yorkshire L W L W W - 6 Birmingham W L L L NR - 3 DurhaM L W L L W - 4 Lancashire W L L T NR - 4 Worcestershire L W W L L - 4 |

Good start Will Jacks!
119/3 with 5 overs left
168/4 with 1 over left 🙁 |
Poor bowling by Clark. Surely there were better options to bring on in the final overs.
Jesus what a poor final 5 overs. Surrey need 192 to win.
Hat trick by milne to finish off the innings and Kent win by 11 runs. Excellent stuff!
:hi::lux::lux::lux:
I just don't understand how so many better bowlers than Clark ended up bowling less than 4 overs. What a waste

Ta thanks

Looking forward to seeing Kyle Jamieson in action. Should make a big difference to our attack. A game we need to win.
Nick Gubbins has gone on loan from Middlesex to Hampshire, this will become permanent, while Sam Northeast has gone on a short term loan from Hampshire to Yorkshire.
It sounds like Northeast has had a big falling out as his contract with with Hampshire was ended earlier this week.
After his couple of games at Yorkshire he can then sign anywhere else. |
229/7 Not too bad for Surrey considering it was left to the 2 Clark's to do most of the bowling. Jamison's injury a big blow. Also losing Pope (injured v Kent) a big blow. Going to be tough now to win this game for Surrey.
No play for Kent today.
Colin the BigMan starting to tee off....
Really enjoy the live feeds, perfect background entertainment while wfh.
Mike Atherton’s son Josh de Caires makes his first class debut for Middlesex V Gloucestershire today.
In other news, Jimmy Anderson has 7-19 as Kent are 49-8…..
And Surrey 8/2. Those going to the Somerset game will be going for the beer.
Surrey excelling again. Won the toss and elected to bowl first in favourable conditions
Managed to keep the score under 500 |
Quote:
Losing another Bowler to injury is just unlucky. But the rest of the team just seem to give up. |
Quote:
Ours is ****ed after 6 overs…. |
Come on Hampshire! We are shocking in the T20 but have had a good start to this game v Surrey.
Stoneman out first ball
Smith out second ball It's beginning to look like an achievement if our batsmen cane see out an over |
Quote:
Surrey 72 all out- lost last 6 wickets in an hour between 5 & 6
Quote:
Could easily lose a rain-affected game by an innings & 300 runs… |
Following on Surrey finished the day on 6-2 , Stoneman out for 1,Burns a duck.
Quote:
Never mind the quality, feel the capacity increases.

I am sure our night-watchman Virdi will bat out the day tomorrow.

Nowadays it's like playing "Owzat" with him. Every ball he has a 1 in 6 chance of being out |

So we clearly don't want him here so why not try and play a youngster. |
Quote:
It's blowy and overcast here - thought would make bowling easy and batting tricky....
Amla really grinding out a draw - fair play Hashim! Well done... 30 overs for Hampshire to push for a win or Surrey to hold out....
....ooooh! 6 down....
Stoneman has had enough and is opening the batting for Yorkshire whilst his mates are still trying to dig the club out of the hole he helped create.
And he’s already doubled his score from his two innings at the Rose bowl…
2* |
Gone for two. Absolute dross. Pisshole shot. This bloke is stealing a living.
...7....
Will Jacks bat?? Poor chap retired hurt in 1st innings
Amla 30 off 224 balls is total class in the situation
