Rumours are that TO may be signing for the Skins ...

McNabb and TO in the same team again?

Steelers, Eagles, Cardinals are the ones that jump out at me due to QB issues. Pats without Welker as well.

What does everyone else think?

I think we stay the same.

Brady recovers from his injury. Moss had a separated shoulder and broken ribs since week 4. We've gained 2 young Tightends, Edelman is a year older. Tate is healthy and we've got another young WR out of the draft. Tom was better when he threw to whoever was open. He needs to stop locking in on Moss and Welker all the time and throw to open Receivers at times.

Our D is definitely better, still worried about the pass-rush, but Brandon Spikes allows Mayo to be the playmaker that I think he can be. But, our Secondary is secure this year with hopefully Chung getting some playing time opposite Meriweather.

Hopefully, Wes may be back sooner than expected. He's been practicing with Brady and Cassel at UCLA like last year. The Hooded One has said that he is a very quick healer. He, like Moss finished the year with injuries. He played the year with a dislocated shoulder.

Oh and our pass rush this year is going to be immense!

Maybe i'm being overly pessimistic but we really don't know how good Kolb will be, and if he will be an improvement on McNabb.

McCoy, Bell and Weaver is a nice running trio, but isn't in the same kind of league as Westy.

Hobbs was behind Brown at the end of the season even when Brown was struggling with a hamstring injury.

We have improved on the defensive line, will be improved at linebacker, but overall I think its hard to argue that we are improved on last season and in fact that we are even as good.

Jaz - Cowboys sucked against the Vikings, that was enough for me ;)

Hobbs started nearly every game. But, he also has 2 very good safeties behind him.

There was also the fact that Brady had the team in a 21-0 lead in the first quarter in a lot of games, and that allowed the Defense to send multiple blitzes at the QB and meant that there wasn't enough time for them to trick Hobbs. He would be a great Nickel CB, but he sucks as a #1 or #2.

Hobbs was behind Brown because he had a season ending neck injury mid season. BTW I still think Macho Harris or Jackson will go to RCB plus I beleive Kolb will be an upgrade on McNabb.

The schedule is hard though :(

when do we start the draft for the fantasy league?

Fair enough, but he still lost out at the start of the season. My general point was though that whoever plays RCB they won't be as good as Brown and at this time we can't say whether Kolb will be better or worse than McNabb, but given McNabb's excellent record I would have to assume that in his first full season he won't be as good as an 8 year vet.

fantasy league fantasy league :lux: :lux:

Campione, campione, campione :hi:

Have we got the 20 we were hoping for yet?

Brown will be a big loss, probably the biggest........BUT Macho Harris who played safety in his rookie season is really a CB and I just have a feeling he will win that spot!!!

I suppose its wait and see but hopefully with the better pass rush defence from the rookie DE's and Daryl Tapp and better safeties (Bradley returning who was a big big big loss last season) maybe things will be ok at the back!!!

Interesting times though! ;)

And how far did you get in the post season? At least we got to that game and sucked ... ;)

Latvian Eagle 29-04-2010 03:33 PM

How comes the Eagles have decided to go with Kolb this year? I thought he was fairly average at times last year. Although I didn't see every Eagles game so what do I know? :)

Mainly because all 3 of our QBs contracts expired next year, and so if we wanted to get anything of value for them we would have to trade one of them. McNabb had the best pedigree and so fetched the best price while we asked for too much for Kolb and Vick.

Kolb is also a better pocket passer than McNabb and with our best wide receiver corps in many a year it is the general view that the greater accuracy of Kolb would be good enough to take us forward as a team.

In general we were in a two year rebuilding job, we have got a lot younger and Kolb is, in theory, part of that process more than McNabb could be now.

Jazman – first season in a while Cowboys have done better than us, need more than one season to stop sucking! :p

jazman 29-04-2010 04:31 PM

I know the love in on this thread wouldn't last and the thought that the Cowboys could actually do something is really worrying some people ... ;)

By the way, where were the Eagles when we won three Superbowls in the 90s?

Hobbs would never have beaten Brown out. Brown is as good as Samuel but in different ways. IMO, you had 2 of the top 10 CBs in the league and have now let one go.

We could get 24 at a push IMO.

peagle and Bellyman are 2 new ones to add. EEIE can put his money where his mouth is.

Some of our Australian friends can join as well. I'm sure i'm missing people though.
