Very enjoyable game for the neutral - I really didn't care who won but the best team won and credit to Eli for the last drive and David Tyree for one of the best catches on that last drive.
Agree with JLM about the smugness of the Pats and Brady who did his usual 50 yard sprint down the tunnel after a loss, rather than being a real sportsman and shaking your opponents hands and accepting defeat like a man.
My man LT has taken some heat recently (some deserved) but he really was on the mark in saying the HC has no class. Miserable SOB!

Well played the Giants. Eli was amazing on that last drive. Teams often do well with three minutes plus timeouts as it's hard to know what defence to play. How Eli didn't get sacked on that crucial third down I'll never know, but he showed extraordinary skill. And the Giants defence was amazing. They deserved to win.

Personally this is a very painful loss. The Patriots gave me my second-best ever sporting moment in 2001, and the last seven years have been amazing. To be so close to 19-0, well, it's pretty unbearable.

As for all the hate on here, give me a ••••••• break. Belichik shook Coughlin's hand, what more do you want? He was 40 seconds away from perhaps the greatest achievement in the history of the NFL. The man has given his life to football, and he was devastated. Belichik, like his team, is a class act, which is why class players, like Junior Seau and (soon enough I'm guessing) Jason Taylor come to work with him. He always praises the opposition; he never makes excuses. People hate the Patriots because they're good. They don't waffle on about God, like some teams I could name; they don't whine about the officials; they simply play. The Spygate thing is a joke--from what I can see, coaches cover their mouths when they call the plays, and if you wanted to tape them you could do it from the stands. I'm proud to be a Patriots fan. I watch every game, and they've given me more pleasure than Palace ever will (1990 excepted), that's for sure.

Play off wins at Tampa Bay, Dallas, Green Bay, and a win at the 'Big Dance' against the undefeated Pats; Well played Giants. A deserved victory.

Defence was simply outstanding; how many teams even came close to keeping the Pats at a low 20, let alone 14!

Eli played well, but the defence won them that match.

As for Brady; he had a mare. Although he didnt get much protection.

Yes, the Giants play in New Jersey but the Meadowlands is but half an hour drive from Manhattan. Anyway who cares? I used to live in New Jersey and have followed the Giants since the early 1980s, when they sucked big time. Its great to see them win this one, against all the odds. All 4 teams they beat in the Play Offs were teams they had lost to in the league (twice to the Cowboys) and all away from home. That's quite some effort and the defence, for me was what won the game.

I went to bed at half time and was sure the Giants would win; the Pats offence was going nowhere and only a couple of silly fouls and mess ups stopped the Giants leading at half time. Didn't quite think it would go that close, despite the Giants nail biting play of record this season!

More concerned that this guy is at Reading University - I hope to god he is the cleaner....

To be fair, he did shake Coughlin's hand. The trouble was doing it before the final whistle. Okay, with all the confetti and other ceremonies the seconds after a Super Bowl ends are chaos, but leaving the field before the game is officially over was reminiscent of the 1991 Detroit Pistons.
I'd also say the Spygate thing is over-rated.

However I think Palace give me more pleasure than any other team, but that's possibly because the ride is wilder. The lows are lower but it ultimately makes the highs higher (hope that makes sense).

Agree. It was a quite incredible nights entertainment. The whole event as a spectacle cant be matched anywhere.

So, three more years of regular season games heading to London. How about the Superbowl at Wembley?! Now that would be some occasion. Would love to see this great city transformed into one big massive NFL carnival for a week!

I set a life time aim of going to a world cup; I achieved that. Going to set a simply massive one now; attending a Superbowl once in my lifetime! Would be the most immense experience ever.
