I've heard either Chris Long or Glenn Dorsey for the Dolphins with their first pick.
But for the Pats, Leodis McKelvin or Vernon Gholston(who would be my pick)

I've just watched the last Quarter again - what an amazing last drive that was. Some brilliant play - but everything went right for the Giants.

I wish that some NFL doubters could have watched that live - it would have produced a few converts.

I suspect Parcells will trade down, for the right price.

I don't even think it was the most exciting game this season - there have been better! The previous Patriots vs. Giants match-up was a cracker too.

Being in the US means I've found myself far more immersed in the passion for it. I'm a full convert now - and while I know there are a lot of ad breaks, once you get used to it (and realise you're not actually missing out on the action - just different teams taking the field) its a great thing to watch.

Another chance for road defeats in Houston and Kansas City, excellent. ;)

Why on earth did the Patriots go for it on 4th and 13 instead of kicking a field goal from 49-odd yards? That lost them the game, I reckon, along with Eli's escapades and 'that catch'

I used to go and watch The Raiders when they were in LA... Was a good day out. I have to say it is odd being at the game when the TV time-outs are on though. Everyone stands around doing nothing waiting for the game to restart.

Plus it is easy to lose sight of who actually has the ball, what with all the "fakes" going on.

Thanks for that Ben, great article. Same thought I went through at half-time. They just did not look up for it. I watched bits of the 02 Superbowl the other day and it was a different attitude altogether.

They should be back next year as long as their defence doesnt get to many retirees(Bruschi, Vrabel etc.) and they also use the draft to their advantage to get some players to replace the above.

I've had that open all day, trying to find the time to read it. The lesson, as always, days off aren't always days off.

I love the way Old Man Seau wasn't mentioned along with Bruschi and Vrabel.

I hope the guy never gets to play again. It still angers me that he got support from some of his idiotic team mates.

Brady was brought to Michigan as merely a squad player. He only got a scholarship becasue his dad sent out a shitload of tapes and really pushed his son to coaches. He must have known something back then no one else did ;)

Listening to Talksport last night. Ian Wright and Adrian Durham were challenging listeners to convert them to teh NFL as they simply did not agree with the enjoyment of the game. Now, I do take it with a pinch of salt as they need something contentious to talk about but how can you say the BFL is unpredictable and not not exciting? There is so much that is so right in the NFL that sports in this country could take heed of ....
