Let's get it on!

So, does anyone need two tickets to the NFL London match? I've been vetoed by the missus but she has said I can go to the US and see a game instead... currently trying to get tickets for the Giants/Seahawks game in NY.

Strathclyde Eagle 17-07-2008 10:01 AM

Don't need tickets, sorry about that.

Falcons listed below the Fins on the ESPN power rankings. Ouch.

Saxon - how many and how much fella? As I'm interested

saxoneagle 17-07-2008 01:19 PM

Sorry Jaz, I think I've got rid of them already. They were £260 for the pair though

No worries fella, probably a good thing :D

Will keep my ear to the ground anyway as if it wasn't for the cock up with my login I'd have been trying to book tickets with everyone else ... :veryangry

ive read somewhere that the vikings could be in trouble for "tapping him up"?

jazman 17-07-2008 08:23 PM

Could be a story that will rumble on for a while just like the Ronaldo one here ...

Strathclyde Eagle 18-07-2008 12:58 PM

If it gets pictures of that tart off the desks of girls in the office I'm all for it.

Unlikely though, admittedly.

Jason Taylor to the Skins...

Strathclyde Eagle 21-07-2008 11:43 AM

Not too disappointed. I felt he mailed it in last season if I'm honest.

jlmatthews 22-07-2008 01:00 AM

Parcells held out and virtually got what he wanted for him. Quick moving by the Skins too! Injuries in the morning... new DE by night...

saxoneagle 22-07-2008 01:26 PM

I reckon we should have a mini-competition - every predicts the winners of each division, the conference finalists and the Superbowl winner.

One point for each divisional winner correct, two for each conference finalist and three for the champion. Let's see who can tip the best :D

jazman 22-07-2008 01:57 PM

Good call Saxon, but how about we expand into a predictions league? For example, predict the scores for the weekends fixtures and you get 10 points for predicting the winner of each match, 15 for the correct scoreline and bonus points of 5 for being within 5 points of a teams score?

Only an idea .. but I'll be happy to run it ...

I was thinking about that but I don't have time to run it.

If you want to, then I have a fixture list in Excel if it would help! PM me your email add and I can send it to you!

Not sure your scoring would work though - if you got the winner right and the scores close you'd get more points than getting the complete scoreline... or have I mis-understood? :D

Yes, cool. I'm happy to organise if the interest is there. Maybe set a rival thread simply for the predictions league ...

Like I say, it was only quick thinking about scoring which is open to modify ... let's see how many people we can get on board. I guess the usual suspects would be in ... could add some fun to the season ...
