Those are the Madden 09 ratings btw. Not mine

pauldrulez 14-08-2008 09:11 PM

And thats the J-E-T-S without Favre and the Dolphins without Pennington.

It was the original Madden 09 ratings before the updates.

pauldrulez 14-08-2008 11:18 PM

Saying about the custom covers for Madden 09 with Favre.

Someone has way too much time on their hands

PlayStation fanboy as well, by the looks of it :D

saxoneagle 14-08-2008 11:34 PM

Need more with cheerleaders on...

pauldrulez 14-08-2008 11:38 PM

There's more than enough of the Pats players, wheres Kristina Akra for the Patriots :D or Lori Baranski, now they are two hot Patriot cheerleaders or ex-cheerleaders as they are now (I think)

Adding (I think) so that I cant be proved 100% wrong :D

Atlanta, Oakland and the Chiefs will all prosper early season with youngish teams and finish middle of the pack.

The Browns won't achieve what they did last year now they have a tougher schedule, ditto the Bills.

I think the Giants, Packers, Eagles and Bucs are all too high up that list. (FFS, I'm still not sure how that Giants team won a Superbowl...).

I think the top four are correct but I'd have the three AFC teams above the Cowgirls, especially if Romo decides to have a mid-season affair with a heftily-breasted blonde bimbo again... and who would blame him?

When I have more time, I'll try and do my total picks for the season.

Surely the falcons must be the worst team this year. I can't think of anything they've got going for them except for their kicking game (which obviously counts for little).

At least now the fins have a solid (if fragile) running game, a solid QB for the next two years and a line which within 5 years COULD be very impressive.

pauldrulez 14-08-2008 11:57 PM

The Falcons must be banking on Ryan for something special just like Oakland are with McFadden.

That may be the main reason they are ranked ahead of the Fins.

As they drafted offensive players high in the first round rather than an OL player or a DE in the Rams case. Thats the only logical reason for EA ranking them that way I would imagine

Agree 100%.

pauldrulez 15-08-2008 12:39 AM

The Falcons could be a decent team this year, or they could be the worst by far. It all depends on how Matt Ryan handles the pressure. It is unlikely that he will be able to react as well to it that the Falcons fans want. At least for the Fins, the only way is up, (apart from 0-16).

Would you have these 4 teams in this order?
Patriots 97
Cowboys 96
Chargers 95
Colts 95

I personally would have the Patriots 97, then the Colts 96 with the Cowgirls and the Chargers on 95 followed by the Steelers and the Jags. And then the teams are too close to call. Mainly the ones in the NFC.

I certainly think the '97 Pats would have beaten all three of those other teams, however, I think the '95 Colts were better than San Diego that season.

Paul, the stats have changed quite dramatically if you download the update.

The mighty Fins, for instance, are an almighty 84 compared to the Jets' weedy 72.

No idea what EA's researchers are up to there, but funny anyway!

saxoneagle 15-08-2008 03:57 AM

I've actually gone through, team by team, and predicted all the results now. I have ended up with some crazy standings (and a mis-calc somewhere!)... I'm going to go through them again tomorrow and I'll post my final tables up.

And as mentioned, yes, the Falcons still have a sh*t season but I think the 49ers will only win maybe 2 or 3 this year. The Fins, Rams and Falcons will win at least 4, I think...

So, Pennington improves the Fins and Favre weakens the Jets. Makes sense :D

Looking at the individual stats on a website, Brady, Manning and LT all being 99 on the offensive side of teams.

I now have the game but am waiting for the PS3 to arrive now.

saxoneagle 15-08-2008 05:01 PM

BTW, I even worked through the tie-breakers to get the seedings correct. That was a bit tough, espeically as the Saints and Bucs had identical records... so I put the Saints first! :D

pauldrulez 15-08-2008 05:02 PM

I would go with Steelers - Cowgirls.

I cant see Pats getting to the Superbowl, its rare you lose the Superbowl and then win it the next year.

AddiscombeEagle 15-08-2008 05:17 PM

Ravens all the way year.

Underdog year.

If they finish anywhere other than bottom of their division, I'll buy you a beer.

saxoneagle 15-08-2008 08:22 PM

NFC East
Dallas Cowboys 10/11 BET
New York Giants 11/4 BET
Philadelphia Eagles 7/2 BET
Washington Redskins 7/1 BET

Redskins 7/1 to win the division??? I'll have a reverse forecast with the Cowgirls on that!
