Hmm, can't do Forecasts... but for every $1 you bet on the Cowboys, bet $0.91 on the Skins. If Cowboys win, you breakeven. If the Skins win, you win. If the Giants or Eagles win, you lose :D
|
saxon, where did you do this? Did you do it by hand or use a computer program.
|
I don't think you should try it Paul. Remember your draft predictions?
I can see it now: "I'm tipping New England for the SuperBowl. Or perhaps Indianapolis. Although, if Dallas wins 18 games, they too could win it all. Of course, if Aaron Rodgers performs in Green Bay, they have a chance to go all the way. As do Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Jacksonville. All have strong QBs so you just can't rule them out. Same for the New York Jets: with Brett Favre behind centre they could do it too. I'd consider Miami outsiders, but you always know what Bill Parcells brings to the table and what a turnaround it would be if they went all the way! Now that I think of it, maybe Kansas City, or Oakland, or San Francisco could get there. And you have to think the New York Giants are in with a shout - they've been here before pretty recently! Joe Flacco is a great signing for Baltimore and I also see them as potential SuperBowl contenders. And if Drew Stanton can recover from last season's injury he might well lead Detroit to the big one. And what about all this rubbish in Chicago? Sexy Rex took the Bears all the way two seasons ago and I fancy them doing it again. Devin Hester! Need I say more? It's been a while since Minnesota has had a good season so I'm tipping them to come close. And who can forget New Orleans!! They always play well with Drew Brees starting. They definitely have a shot at winning the SuperBowl. Though in fairness, Philly, Tampa Bay, Cincinatti or Denver are all dangerous side who must be considered contenders. And I nearly forgot Atlanta! Matt Ryan's a keeper. No Vernon Gholston, but then Vernon can't play quarterback, dammit! Anyway, in concluding I'm going to tip Arizona to go all the way. Their SuperBowl opponents will be Buffalo. Or Seattle. Maybe St Louis. Definitely! Tennessee are a dark horse though. If Vince Young has a strong year they'll be champs!! Anyway, as I say, the 2009 SuperBowl will absolutely 100 per cent be Houston vs Carolina and/or Washington. Just as long as San Diego don't qualify. You heard it here first!" |
Ben's been down the pub :)

:D I only said what NFL Network were saying.
"Ryan could go at 3, a trade to 5, 8 or could fall" Well I was 25% right :D I'm certain that the Superbowl will be between an AFC team and an NFC team |

For tie-breakers, I then manually checked head-to-heads, then divisional records, then conference records... and then guessed that the Saints would win games by more points than their opponents :D I can send you the Excel sheet if you wish... PM your email add to me. Anyone else want it now I've done all the hard work??? |
Paul, tried to join your Yahoo Fantasy League and it told me:
There was a problem This league is not registered in this game. (Error #272) |
TBH Ben, that is very good and must have taken you a long time to bully me ;)
But seriously, an AFC team will win it this year and I am in no doubt of that. Whoever manages to beat the Patriots to win that Conference deserves a Superbowl, and if the Pats win it, then another Superbowl is on its way to the Krafts, Belichick and Brady. Saxon, pm will be on the way in a minute. |
Sorted now, ignore last post.
Can I suggest we choose individual D players rather then just entire Ds? Makes it way more interesting. Also, a third WR would be good. |
Ben,
For the Yahoo draft (should people want to do it), Also, the group number should people be asked for it (Nookie couldnt get in) is 377078, the group name is CPFC BBS and the password is eagles |

I shall do that tomorrow then. Should be different.
I shall sit the Laptop next to the PS3 on my TV in the living room and have the Olympics on the Big TV followed by Gillette Soccer Special. |
Worrying for the Patriots if this is the same injury as before the Superbowl. He hasnt competed in Camp as much as normal which could be bad for Moss and Welker as Cassel cant throw a pass without an interception or a sack, Gutierrez is injured and O'Connell cant throw but is a good scrambler
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Brady did not travel with the New England Patriots to Tampa Bay and will not play Sunday night against the Buccaneers, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter. The Patroits say Brady will rest a foot injury. He also sat out the team's 16-15 loss to Baltimore a week ago. Brady threw for an NFL-record 50 touchdown passes last season while leading the Patriots to a 16-0 regular season. He also completed 69 percent of his passes for 4,806 yards and won several honors, including the MVP award and first-team All-Pro. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- saxon, I may have a link for tonights game if you dont have NFL Network like us poor people in the UK. I will be giving my results for the season as well in about an hour |

Paul - your play-offs are wrong. You forgot the Bengals.
|
My bad, thought it was weird somewhere.
Jags face Steelers and Bengals @ Colts. Same play-offs but closer in the 2nd game than before. |
Vikes to the NFC title game!!
Insane. :) |
I just got a feeling about them this year. This might be Tavaris's year (finally)
My thoughts may change depending on the Bucs performance on Sky Sports 2 tonight. Should be funny if one of them gets Mossed. How many plays until a Cassel sack or interception? Will O'Connell get more yards scrambling or passing? Will Gutierrez face a 3rd and 38 this week? Will Maroney get some yards? How many Corners and Safeties get Mossed off one of the throws that goes in the right direction. |
