Gene Upshaw has died aged 63.

11-time AllPro, 7-time probowler and a Hall of Famer.

Sad news.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also have some interesting news about Brady. Its not news as such but its a rumour coming out of the organisation.

Brady has been training since yesterday.
The rumour about Brady not travelling to Tampa Bay to play against the Bucs is that the Bucs defense had been said to be blitzing a lot against the Patriots and with Bradys' foot being uncomfortable, they did not want him to take the blows so pulled him out leaving the back-ups to face the music.

Pretty sure that is it. Tell me if there are any obvious mistakes that I have made and not noticed.

This was my 53 a few months back. Not too far out although there may be an extra RB I would imagine.

Also looking back at the draft.

Told you there was no need to be negative saxon. Mayo has looked pretty good with a few mistakes. Crable may take a bigger part than what we thought. Cassel is still there unfortunately although O'Connell may now be ahead of Goots.

A few free agents have jumped in there as well. Shows that you gotta have faith in Bill Belichick and the draft.

Even had a cheeky pound on my Panthers to win it at 50/1. :o

I quite like the look of the 'Hawks.

Panthers will start well and then fade and then have a final spurt and just miss out like they always do :D

Loyal Supporter 22-08-2008 05:33 PM

With Ladbrokes doing e/w the top 4 (eg Conference finalists) where is the value bet? I read somewhere about the Titans being a decent shout at 40/1? Even if they get to the Conference final, that will do me. Any advice?

pauldrulez 22-08-2008 06:13 PM

I fancy the Eagles to beat New England again tonight unfortunately due to Brady possibly being out.

13/10 Best odds, banker with no Brady.

pauldrulez 22-08-2008 06:15 PM

And Saxon if you are on here.

I should have a link to the Pats game tonight if you are interested since you normally see my message after the game :D

As a Seahawk fan i can safely say that they are far too much like Palace to win the Superbowl, i.e they flatter to deceive!

The Titans won't. They don't have a QB for a deep play-off run.

pauldrulez 22-08-2008 08:45 PM

Ignoring the Main 4.

I like the Steelers at 25-33s, they have the QB a couple of decent RBs including a rookie who is coming off a very good season in college and can only improve.

The Bucs may be worth a shout but they may be one to watch.

If, AP performs to his high standard and maybe, just maybe Tarvaris can perform or they get an experienced QB like Culpepper then they may be worth a bet at 33s with Centrebet and are as low as 16s with Skybet.

pauldrulez 22-08-2008 08:47 PM

And this is for anyone that wants to watch matches either during pre-season or the regular season.

http://www.myp2pforum.eu/nfl-cfl-afl/

That provides info of how to watch them. Its not the actual streams but shows where to watch them. Its not my site (obviously as I'm stupid) so I'm not promoting myself or doing anything against the rules ;)

RDSdaEAGLE 23-08-2008 03:08 AM

Patriots being hammered at the moment :)

pauldrulez 23-08-2008 11:53 AM

At 27-3 that was embarrassing.

At least Goots pulled us back into it. Probably pushed himself ahead of Cassel for back-up.

And the Eagles at 13/10 with no Brady, easiest bet ever.

elliott 24-08-2008 02:37 AM

9.36 remaining, 2nd quarter.

MIAMI 17 (seventeen) - KC 0.

Sick.

Strathclyde Eagle 24-08-2008 07:33 PM

Pre-season means nothing. The only thing dafter that taking too much from them is to put money on the outcomes.

Latvian Eagle 24-08-2008 08:20 PM

What's the game on Sky tonight? Is it another pre season or a re run of last nights game?

Can't throw well enough yet to take the Titans into the play-offs. I'm a big Young fan and I'd love to see him take the NFL by storm but I still see this year as a dud one.
