There will be a large number of rude and obnoxious glory hunting Providence Patriots fans to give Eagles fans a run for their money mind :hi:

I'm in the money.... would rather see the Eagles win and take the EW pay off though.

And is Cousins, who has been linked, really a significant step up from Bortles?

Bortles of last night then no and it depends on Cousins salary requirements. QB is stacked this draft though.

Purely because of the name, I’ve followed the Eagles for ages now, since Randall Cunningham was a rookie in the mid 80s.

Never been to the States, never really met another Eagles fan, so I will take the comments about their fans with a pinch of salt - they certainly can’t be Glory Hunters with their Play Off record - I bought all the hype that they would fade after Wentz ****ed his knee up!

If they stay true to their destiny, they will briefly lead the Patriots in Minnesota before blowing it in the last quarter, in the best traditions of Eagles on both sides of the Pond!

Just pleased they won their Championship, rare enough for them, what a great job their coaching staff have done - one last tactical masterclass left in them?

They have the money available to do the sensible thing. Trade up significantly, mortgage a few future draft picks and take a QB if they fall outside of the top 10. They can afford to do it, and they can keep Bortles for next season.

There's no point in them binning Bortles for the likes of Keenum in FA, but they need to get a high ceiling QB in there. If he becomes the Bortles of 2015, they may not need one at all.

My one regret last night is not putting on more than £25 when the Patriots were 11/8.

Lets be honest; was a comeback ever really in doubt?

That's my point... it's stacked full of college talent and that doesn't mean pro talent.

The NFL is already "stacked" with good college/average pro QBs!

I started to doubt it when Jack took the ball off Lewis.

Still not entirely sure that Lewis didn't regain control mind you, which is why one ref blew the whistle and another didn't.

Reminds me a bit of Man City when they were playing the likes of West Ham in December. They knew they were better, knew they should win and that mentality brings you through a lot of adversity, look at them against Liverpool even though they lost.

I'd be interested on hearing everyones story this side of the pond, like CP Satellites on why they support an American football team.

I'm a Jags fan cos my dad worked for a company in Jacksonville and he'd bring me the OG merchandise home before they had to change it to just a Jaguar face so not to be sued by Jaguar cars :D My dad got to a couple of games through work and so I was a fan. Remember getting up at silly O'clock to watch us in the A.F.C Championship game in 2000. For me just getting to the Superbowl would be a dream come true.

I've been to all our London games and find it odd that we now play over here. Even odder that so many Brits now support us. Was against it at first but nothing I can do , so go support my team.

I go to my local most Sundays and watch the games with other NFL fans. They were all rooting for the Jags last night. It was so very painful to take having led for most of the game.

All I hope for now is that we push on and not be shit season after season. Its been a tough ride since we formed and tasted some immediate success with the likes of Boselli and Brunell.

That's true to some extent, but rightly or wrongly potential 'franchise' QB's will still be top of the list for a number of teams looking for the one or two that eventually become good or great, and the draft at QB this year looks a hell of a lot better than what was on offer last year.

Bortles hasn't even been a top 15 QB this season ratings wise and although he's improving he won't be a guaranteed starter next season IMO.

Even if the Jags keep him they must be looking at draft QB's as competition/depth with an eye future when there's a solid crop available (although i'm sure the browns etc will be trying the same like usual).

Jags. First team i saw live (excluding the London Monarchs and Ravens back in the day) in their first game at Wembley and seen them a few times since, plus the hope they become the London franchise one day. Jax was awesome at the Palace game to boot.

I'll be trying to get a ticket for their game again this season, plus the Raiders game (had a soft spot for them since being a kid - because pirates right).

greybot 22-01-2018 06:14 PM

oh nice. I'm not alone :p

Bending over infront of the Charlton fans and telling them to kiss his arse, which wound them up no end will live long in the memory. :lux:

NFL UK Season Ticket renewals today, from 10am... but only for Wembley while they work out what a **** up they've made of the game at Spurs.

saxoneagle 30-01-2018 10:55 AM

On a similar subject, I might not be doing all the matches, so I might have the Eagles v Jags tickets spare to share - will only be at face value because I don't believe in ripping fellow fans off. Will update nearer the time, but anyone interested please let me know!

greybot 30-01-2018 03:36 PM

I'd be interested. How many spare and what level, ticket price are they? Cheers

2 tickets, Block 504, just over £50 each with all the various bullshit Ticketmaster add-on (which is less than last year, actually!)

£51.20 per ticket with postage to be precise!

Latvian Eagle 30-01-2018 04:55 PM

Hope the Idaho Flompdonkies win the Superbowl.

saxoneagle 30-01-2018 10:05 PM

I've got my Super Bowl tickets :D

If anything falls through now I'll be proper gutted!
