Steelers open for trade offers for Bell

The Niners season is now looking incredibly depressing.

Gutted for Jimmy G.

Mind boggled by the antics at Cardinals so far this season.

1. $20mil on Bradford. Understood they needed a QB, but in reality, he was never going to be able to project them into top team. He has a star running back and 1 high class, but not elite OBJ, Julio level in Fitz, an average O Line and a 16th to 32nd ranked defense at best.

Money wasted

Alternatives - Teddy Bridgewater / Start with Rosen from Week 1 / Start with Mike Glennon week 1 and use the cap spend else where!

2. Mike Mccoy - Play calling has been abysmal and even the defense has somehow managed to not utlise the strengths of Chandler Jones.
Last night however was the final straw for me. 3rd and 2 in a key play in the game, they decide not to give the ball to David Johnson but the back up RB! 3rd and 2!!!!

3. Then, when the chips are down, Rosen has been protected all season despite a 34-0 drubbing at Rams, with the Bears in the lead and Khalil Mack and a strong blitz defence in the Bears, they decide to introduce Rosen for his first snaps in pro football, hoping for a 2 minute drive for victory. Chances of it happening must be less than 5%.

Those of us with a long enough memory can go back to the 70s and the 80s when the Patriots were pants for most of the time. Still, Andre Tippett was a great OLB and John Hannah was a fantastic Guard

Wages would be an issue

I always enjoy seeing the 49ers falter but don't like to see season ending injury stuff.

Good win for the Seahawks, Cowboys looked poor though to be fair, fully expect Earl Thomas to be a Cowboy by the weekend.

I have no idea who will be competing for the Super Bowl this season; no standout teams

Latvian Eagle 25-09-2018 11:32 AM

Not saying we are standouts by any stretch of the imagination but our boys looked quite decent Steve.

Did I hear right that Cam now holds the record for Running TDs by a Quarter Back? If so when you consider some of the other QBs to have played in the NFL that's quite remarkable.

Cheifs and Rams as obvious as it sounds, with probably the Saints and Eagles in behind.

Cheifs clearly with the standout offence, but have played against Chargers, Steelers and 49ers who have shipped tons of points each already (partly due to Cheifs but in their other games the following points have been conceded)

Steelers 27 + 21
Chargers 20 + 35
49ers 24 + 27

Rams with probably an all round better team though injuries may hurt and their schedule has been almost as kind as it could be with Raiders, Cardinals and Chargers.

Saints for me could be 0-3 but so easily could have been 3-0. Again, they struggle on defence but Brees was on fire on Sunday.

LLCOOLSTEVE 25-09-2018 01:57 PM

Considered the Chiefs but with a rookie QB? Not sure

Rams rely on outscoring opponents it seems

Just think there are 6 or 7 teams who could all have a good chance

tsunamiman 25-09-2018 01:58 PM

Chiefs always start well and then falter

davematt 25-09-2018 01:59 PM

The Chiefs offence looks pretty unstoppable as they have weapons all over the place, but it will be asking a lot of Pat Mahomes to keep this level up, especially when we get into November/December when the weather starts to diminish. They'll need to play some defence at some point.

The Rams look to be the most complete team but are now facing being without Peters and Talib for a while. Be interesting to see how they get on against the Vikings on Thursday who you would expect will be looking to put things right after that shambles of a performance against the Bills.

The Saints are about to get Ingram back and their offence is already putting up huge numbers. Thomas is on course for a record breaking season in terms of receptions. Problem they have is their defence can't stop much. In fact, so far, defenses across the league seem to be getting torched.

Most open season in a very long time. SO you just know the Patriots will kick into life when Julian Edelman gets back, secure home field and be in Atlanta the first week of Feb :hmph:

One team by the way not getting talked about much but slowly going about their business nicely...the Ravens.

Funk Butter 25-09-2018 02:49 PM

I'm not convinced at all by the Chiefs. Andy Reid will Schottenheimer his way out of the playoffs again. Saints should be 0-3 and don't seem to be close to replicating last year's defense. I'm not ready to write off the Patriots and Steelers in the AFC. The Rams are the most complete team to me followed by the Eagles.

The Ravens have signed a RGIII as I saw yesterday which amused me. Shame about the injuries that wrecked his career.
