First two weeks he has been pretty good. Much easier said than done to stand in the pocket and get whacked all game by a tough defense. He threw the ball in dangerous situations far too often, but thats what 20-32 ranked QBs do unfortunately and what good defence versus awful O Line causes.

He has never had the biggest arm either

Kyle Allen seems to be doing well for us at QB. Reminds me of how Matt Moore started for us after Jake Delhomme.

Proper Thursday night game that

I just watched Fournette rush the Broncos for 225 yards as well as some Minshew Magic to come back from a two touchdown deficit second half. go Jags :lux:

Shows how bad the Broncos defense is considering its parts when Fournette can run riot.

Everybody has been sleeping on the Saints since the Brees injury. They have a lot of basis covered with Kamara, Michael Thomas, a solid enough kicker in Lutz and on defence Marshon Lattimore, Demario Davis and Von Bell are serious

Dogshit from the Vikings. Just couldn’t handle that Bears defence.

That late roughing the passer call killed Denver. Horrible!

kayjay 01-10-2019 09:59 AM

The rules about what constitutes a catch in the end zone have got ridiculous. Take a look at Golliday's. Chiefs lucky to escape with that result.

kayjay 08-10-2019 08:44 AM

Aaron Jones breaks a franchise record.
McCaffery basically beats Jags by himself.
Is it too early to sit up and take a serious look at the 49ers for the post season?

Being the pessimist I am, I'm still reluctant till we produce this kind of performance against a play off team from last year...so we will get the chance on Sunday vs. the Rams.

BUT, we are looking the real deal...and last night was especially impressive.

The schemes that Shanahan is dialing up, especially in the run game, look very hard to defend against. We have so many offensive weapons without having what you would call a stand out (although Kittle comes close to that).

And on the defensive side, our front seven looks as good any any. Thank you to Kliff Kingsbury...his obsession with wanting Kyler Murray in Arizona meant that Nick Bosa fell to us with our second pick. He looks every bit the franchise changing edge rusher that he was seen to be coming out of Ohio State. He completely dominated last night.

But lets take it one game at a time...roll on LA :lux:

As a Cardinals fan it was rough to see us pass up on Bosa. That said, when we had just had Bradford and Rosen it wasn't unreasonable to expect a QB was going to come in with Pick 1, particularly with a new coach. Surprised Cardinals didnt splash some cash for a back up at an alternative franchies and make them QB1 (Bridgewater or Foles) for a few years, presume cap space, though not sure what to presume with some of Steve Keims decisions.

As for the 49ers they look good. Very good. The Redskins and The Cardinals in 3 of the next 6 games helps too.

And as quick as you blink the Saints are at 4-1. Bridgewater is playing well which was perhaps unexpected.

Anyone going this sunday?

greybot 09-10-2019 02:10 PM

Lots of wankers there last Sunday. Still the earlier kick off time this Sunday might thwart so many fans getting absolutely shit-faced.

Latvian Eagle 13-10-2019 07:22 PM

Panthers on a 4 game win streak now without Cam.

CP-RJW 14-10-2019 01:58 AM

What the hell is up with the Falcons? Too much talent to be 1 and 5. Decimated by injuries again?

Niners really do look a team!

Hedgehog 14-10-2019 02:35 AM

So how do people think the whole Tottenham experiment is going.

From what I've seen it is going good, and the NFL specific pitch is fantastic. The Wembley **** up last season was not good... having a purpose built pitch (whatever the cost) looks to have been the right way to go.

Still seems the atmosphere is a bit off from games in The US, but that maybe more to do with the fans being somewhat equally divided, something you only really get at the Superbowl, which is also a different atmosphere.

Bad coaching meets bad defense. If you go back to the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl, that's a microcosm of the Falcons team. The defense can't stop other teams on 3rd down, the offense turns the ball over at the worst moments and the entire team as a whole commits dumb penalties. I have no idea how they beat the Eagles.

Kittle attracts a crowd of defenders. Very hard man to bring to ground.
