Surprised SF didn't try to run it a couple of times on the 50 yard line with 1.45 on the clock and 3 timeouts.

Commiserations CT.

Pleased for big Andy Reid though.

The NFL sure knows how to prolong the agony of defeat...

CP-RJW 03-02-2020 04:12 AM

Great game.

Commiserations to our resident 49er fans.

Perhaps the first of several Super Bowls for the chiefs in the Mahomes era.

I decided to blow thru my KC players two weeks ago on the assumption that the 49ers defense can slow down the Chiefs more than the Titans. The only Chiefs players I got are Watkins and the defense. (I guess some non-Tyreek Hill D/ST TDs from the Chiefs will work too) I'm in 3rd place right now, but it's really hard to see who people have left to pick from without going thru a bunch of clicks for every other entry.

Shanahan has figured out a way to do it to me again. History repeats itself.

Very good Superbowl. No sized deficit seems to big
for a Mahomes led offense to chase down.
Well done Andy Reid.

davematt 03-02-2020 03:27 PM

That one REALLY stings.

I need to re-watch the 4th quarter again tonight to make sense of it all.

That 3rd and 15 with 7:07 will haunt us for a while.

Not keen on lumping the blame on just one person (Shanahan, Jimmy etc) as felt it was a collective collapse.

hughff 03-02-2020 08:50 PM

Agree that was the key play, dm. It was Tyreek Hill's route running that did it. He was charging straight at his defender and as soon as Ward turned to his left so that Hill didn't blow by him, Tyreek cut back in the opposite direction. That left him with a good 10 metres of separation and Mahomes made the pass like it was a check down. Suddenly the momentum belonged to KC and the rest is history.

Jacksonville Jaguars will host back to back home games at Wembley in the 2020 season. First time a team has had two season games in the UK

The Atlanta Falcons will play at home at Tottenham and likely against Browns, although could be against Lions.

Dolphins will have be another home team but this is rumoured to be the Mexico game and again rumoured to be vs Pats.

For you I hope that the 49ers win - good luck and enjoy.

All about Hill for me tonight to take the top off and then its up to Kelce and Wakins to move down the field. Hoping for a 4th quarter shootout.

Not quite Kelce and Watkins underneath but always felt that Hill downfield was going to kill the 49ers. Proved to be the case. Fantastic Superbowl however and good half-time show too

Love the fuss the KC fans have caused by singing "home of the CHEIFFSSS" at the end of the national Anthem

Back in the day when there was the Atlanta Chiefs and Atlanta Braves playing, at the end of the Star Spangled Banner people would sing, "o'er the land of the Chiefs and the home of the Braves."

Opening weekend for the XFL. It's not comparable to the NFL, obviously, but it is also not terrible. Interesting rules, like the 1/2/3 point conversion play (no XPs), the running clock and the kickoff rule which I guarantee the NFL would have used if the XFL didn't do it first.

Thought the half time show was tepid.
The music was little more than aural wallpaper
and the 2 ladies with their outfits/dance moves
looked like duelling gratuitous snatch shots.
All this push for respect and equality and Shak/JLo
happy to make it about sex. Make up your mind America!

Did you run out of clouds to yell at, brother kayjay?

Would love to see us use free agency well and go for a big money move for Austin Hooper at around $8m per year. Secure a top 5 TE for the next 4 years for Murray to build around.

Surprised to see the Falcons letting Hooper test the open market. Really is a top player who is going to be paid. Would love him at Cardinals, as would 15+ sides I would imagine

CP-RJW 27-02-2020 05:37 PM

Chiefs are apparently going to franchise tag Chris Jones

Just thought the mighty NFL could have done better
than call up 2 well past it slappers for the biggest
15 minute show in the world. Fully expect that from the
AFL/NRL. Doritos ad the highlight in a rather
bland advertising ensemble.

Shakira and Jlo shit all over Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake and Coldplay. It was a good show, even people who don’t like the music got to enjoy some nice ass. Lighten up.

CP-RJW 16-03-2020 09:58 PM

Huge moves today. Hopkins to the Cardinals, Deforest Buckner to the Colts

kayjay 17-03-2020 02:03 AM

What did the Texans get?
