Then there are a load (like me) who are registered and intend to go in the future

I hate having to pay out £50 or whatever 10 months in advance, but don’t have a choice if you want to go.

I managed to get tickets from TicketMaster after the priority tickets had been done and dusted so there were plenty to go round this year.

Yeah, but even worse is Jason Hanson not making it. He's 8/8 in FGs over 50 yards this year!

jazman 17-12-2008 02:04 PM

Is it right that I count 4 Cowboys on that list? Not as good as last year. I thought Newman may have got in there though as he has been outstanding since his return from injury.

Willis made it again, this year, this time as a starter. Future Hall of Famer (injuries permitting). All Pat needs to add to his game is a few more big plays. Still, his one interception was returned 86 yards for a TD. Thanks Seachicks! :p

1 Eagle - Samuel, not surprising considering our inconsistent year, thought Westbrook might have a chance, but would only really have been off the back of his last 3 games

This winning season is for US.
...
Lets us reminisce about what has happened to us:
  • Ricky Williams retiring at the apex of his career
  • A 1-15 season
  • Trading a 2nd round pick for A.J. Feely AGHGHH
  • The quarterback carousel since Marino (resultant from a lack of QB drafting until Beck)
  • Constantly trading draft picks for players who never pan out
  • Ray Lucas blowing our season after a 5-1 start in 2002
  • Blowing an 11-point 4th quarter lead to the Patriots to lose our playoff spot in 2002
  • Marino becoming Vice-President of Football Operations only to retire three weeks later.
  • Daunte Culpepper
  • Watching our offense twiddle their thumbs for a decade while we wasted Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor's talent on defense
  • Losing 62-7 to the Jaguars in the Playoffs in Marino's last game
  • Trading a 4th round pick to Eagles to move up one spot to draft Vernon Carey (Eagles bluffed fake interest in Carey)
  • 5 different head coaches in 5 years
  • Adewale Ogunleye traded for Marty Booker after a 15 sack season
  • Watching the Patriots win 3 Super Bowls
  • Jason Taylor drama in 2008 offseason
  • Trading Wes Welker (although we got Satele from it eventually)
  • Losing to the Houston Texans (then lowly) in the first game of 2003
  • Yatil Green, John Avery, Jamar Fletcher, Eddie Moore
  • Passing up Anquan Boldin FOR Eddie Moore (despite strong fan support for Boldin)
  • Passing up Drew Brees for Jamar Fletcher (despite fan support for Brees)
  • Letting Pat Surtain/Sam Madison go
  • Drastic 3rd round pick trade for Lamar Gordon mid-season
  • Injuries, INJURIES, I.N.J.U.R.I.E.S!
  • Nick Saban abandoning us for Alabama (only time I can think of where a coach was the one who wanted to leave without retiring)

Been a long time coming. Think I had actually blotted the Wannstache panic trade for Gordon completely out of my memory.

Good luck all.

Well, it was an independent nation once. Not for long, mind you.

Hello all

Just back from snowboarding in Morzine and Avoriaz!

NFL sucks. Well, the Skins suck. The rumours have started - Cowher in, Zorn out, apparently.

saxoneagle 17-12-2008 05:01 PM

Cowher will go to the Browns :p

Strathclyde Eagle 17-12-2008 05:15 PM

A Steelers legend going to Cleveland? About as likely as Coppell going to... oh, hang on a minute.

He played 3 years in Cleveland and coached there for 3 seasons, too!

Quiz question:

Why does WWE legend Legion Of Doom/ Road Warrior Animal figure to be shown on TV a lot during the 2009 NFL season?

This, Paul, is why you are never again allowed to complain about the supposed plight of the current day Pats. ;)

Benzhiyi 17-12-2008 06:24 PM

Nookie, I meant to publicly thank you for the 2nd and 6th round picks you give us for the 2009 and 2010 drafts respectively in exchange for Jason Taylor.

It was exceedingly kind and I will always look out for the Redskins as thanks for their generosity.
