I am trying to imagine what it tastes like. You never know until you try it.

Examples would be mole / chicken or fish cooked with chocolate. On cable I saw one of those sweet pastry shops that served a 'treat' that had peanut butter and bacon in the same mouthful. Another show was in Paris where they sold chocolate covered bacon.

Immediately you would think that is not for me. But it's got to be worth a taste - you might be missing out on something sensational.

TopKnot 24-09-2020 11:53 PM

I think it’s really nice tbh

I believe Elvis Presley's favourite sandwich was a toasted peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich.

First I have heard that bacon was an ingredient.

My favourite sandwich involves a Colombian lass as the filling.

I thought the same... I thought it was just peanut butter and banana (not toasted), but while researching that stumbled across this:

These idiots on Youtube who call themselves auditors. In other words, idiots who are unemployed with video cameras who hang about outside police stations videoing them and outside prisons to try and get a reaction from the police or whoever who question them as to what they are doing.
Then they claim public right in being able to video anywhere in public until they actually get knicked and cry like a baby.

Things that annoy you... going to a specialty store (in this case a lumber yard) and know the guy helping you is acting dumb just to be an arsehole because you don't know the correct terminology the pros use.

Barbers who want to engage you in banal conversation that they obviously don't give a damn about, because you are on a conveyer belt of the same. I have come in to have my haircut, just get on with it and concentrate on what you are doing.
On top of this experience again yesterday, despite the fact that nearly 42,000 people have died of the virus, families losing loved ones, not being able to hold proper funerals, companies going bust, people losing their jobs, he was worried about Christmas and not being able to take his kids to see Father Christmas.

Certain types of facemasks. The ones which are all in one. No elastic to attach to the ears. Have now managed to lose two pairs of glasses. One set fell of and broke the other it broke the arm. Now waiting for new pair to arrive. Raided Poundland found material ones with elastic cost £5. Thats another complaint altogether now you can ask how much in poundland and get mutiple correct answers.

Knobs that talk about a generation of people having been responsible for something as if it was the wilful and deliberate act/choice of their entire generation to do something and that they should now pay for it. As if they all think the same way and maybe got in a room and unanimously agreed something. I am not sure what level of control they think they personally have over anything much that happens in their own era. What kind of lunatic thinks like that. An awful lot of them it would seem.

What is worse is that some political groups/politicians/activists seem to have latched it into it and have fuelled the flames.

Yeah but young people saying "OK, boomer" is never not hilarious.

(I'm not a boomer, but my Dear Old Mum is. She was born in a tenement which was considered a bit swanky as it had an indoor loo, even though it was in the kitchen. I'm fairly sure she is not responsible for the financial crisis, despite what geniuses like Nish Kumar and Frankie Boyle might think.)

Tell her to empty the coffee and tea tins of her life savings and pay up. It’s all her fault. Don’t know how you have the nerve to come on here and defend her.....

It’s the sort of weird thinking that explains some of the apparently inexplicable bits of history. The older I get the more I understand the desire of so many to walk away from society and live off the grid somewhere with a few like minded people, but Palace precludes that one. Just a tip for anyone joining one of these places, whatever you do, don’t drink the juice if they suddenly offer one a drink.......

Lets be accurate here H, Microsoft. Microsoft is what annoys you (no surprise).
Now I could at this stage pontificate about how you should get a Mac bla bla bla, but I won’t having managed to “clean” and free up almost 40% of my Macs memory yesterday by deleting unwanted and unnecessary documents saved by OS whenever I open an attachment from Mail. Saved, I might add, deep in the memory - the path was about 10 folders deep, almost as if Apple didn’t want you to find the files and on purpose jam the memory up with useless junk so that you might think you need to buy more memory - Apple iCloud perhaps?

Probably similar to Portugal. I remember when I moved out there it was the car's basic price, plus 9 euros per CUBIC CENTIMETRE of engine capacity "car tax" plus VAT at 21%.

Yes and no... It all started when I stupidly (after a few glasses of wine) thought I would update iTunes on my PC (I know, I know) because it kept bugging me to.

Usually it just updates, no fuss or bother. This time it wanted to do it via Microsoft (I forget the exact route - see glasses of wine above). It ended up removing all traces of iTunes, and every time I tried to download it, it kept saying there was already iTunes on the computer, but bugger if I could find it.

Anyway, I decided to recover the system to the last recovery point, which happened to be yesterday morning. This recovery process took in excess of an hour.

All recovered good, so I tried to update itunes again (see glasses of wine above... now more consumed). This time I used the Apple website and download direct from them. This worked perfect - and when all said and done, I don't see the slightest bit of difference in iTunes!

I didn't vote on Brexit. ( Don't have a clue about Brexit and don't feel anyone does -it's too complex and is all guesswork. Said so and was attacked )
Lifelong Labour voter ( I'm still a Trump supporter, ect, apparently )
Don't question Corona rules. Lungs are wrecked and I need protection. Been locked down, on doc advice, since early Feb. Going slowly mad.
Believe BLM is a organ for social division at best and historical / racial vengeance, at worst.

Only one out of four as ideological 'crimes' go and I'm still a target for abuse. As I've said before, there's a totalitarian cabal here that demand perfect fealty to Leftism or you are fit for being ganged-up on.

Hang on. You voted for Boris in December and you are on the streets protesting about his government taking away your rights in September? The man that illegally prorogued parliament? The man that lied to the commons and the queen? The government that was held in disrepute by parliament? You voted for him and now you bitch about government reach? You don’t think the government should have so much power and you voted for the man that broke the law to give government more power?

You voted for it less than a year ago and now you’re on the streets protesting against it? Suck it up ffs.

It is when the person making such opinions are not 'criticized' but attacked via name-calling or calls to be banned. That is an intolerance for a viewpoint and an attempt to obliterate it which well qualifies as a definition of 'totalitarianism,' especially if you think of the BBS as a world in itself and the tactics used to silence and remove people as a form of coersion and repression. Look up the definition and you'll see those words I've cited. I don't choose words lightly because there's always some 'dipshit' who will take you to task for them, without thinking it through.

But I guess it takes a 'dipshit' to agree with such treatment of people. To an extent that they'd rather make moronic quibbles about definitions rather than address the central point raised.

Okay, done with you...:p

You define my words as 'Alt-Right.' I don't agree. And thanks for proving my point that there are people here who believe just having such opinions is excuse enough to treat them in the exact way I described earlier.

Word lengths of my posts are irrelevant. It's a pointless argument to make when debating a complex situation. Unless you believe you have such a perfect grasp of what is right and wrong that 'your' truth is simple, patent and therefore doesn't require complex consideration. And you don't have to read them. Free country.

And I leave quickly after posting because I don't think it's worth sticking around to get what will be 10% adult criticism and 90% personal attacks. What adult would want that? If we didn't have so many Leftists here, who refuse to tolerate an opposing or even questioning opinion without personal attacks, then I'd be more inclined to stick around to respectfully debate those to do the same for me. If you look fairly ( if you feel inclined ) you'll see I do tend to respond to those to bother to make reasoned points against what I originally wrote. But I won't sit still for your ideological friends to gang up and peck at me. If that, in itself, annoys you, it says far more about you and the tactics of your ideological allies than me. I just want to express an opinion, would having to deal with a swarm of abuse that is designed to deter ideological disagreement far more than it is to deal with debate itself. That intolerant, 'scorched Earth' policy of Leftists when dealing with dissenters is precisely my biggest complaint. Even when I agree with some of your politics, how you attempt to enforce a monoculture via your intolerance sickens me. The f*cking arrogance of that is incredible but that's what comes from an ideology that views disagreement in the same way as a religion.

It's late and I'm going now. Unless you think I'm duty bound to wait around for you to have another ad hominem pop at me?

I appreciate this is just me... but both teams wearing the same colour shorts. Never used to be allowed.

Case in point Everton yesterday, and Palace away at Manchester United.

Personally I like to see different combinations to avoid this. Example, Palace home shorts with white away kit at MU, and Everton wearing their white home shorts yesterday.

The League are so fussy over so many things, yet seem not bothered by this.

As I say probably just me.

The BBC football fixture and results pages prioritising Women's football above the Championship and other leagues.

I am not against women's football at a professional level, but come on it has it's place.

This has filtered in over a few seasons.

I noticed that transfers in female football became biggish news this close season as well. Almost an headline item saying that Arsenal or somesuch have pulled off a coup signing suchandsuch. You click on it and it is for the fecking female team.

The order now seems to be Premier League, La Liga (if Barcelaona or Real Madrid are involved), Scottish Premier, Womens Football, The Championship... and I think even Italian, French and German Leagues are starting to knock on that door of prominence over The Championship as well.

Funny you say that, I just noticed the same. I was looking to see how Charlton were doing, and it took a lot of scrolling to find them!

Who are they?

:)

I will turn my VPN on to see what you guys are on about as for me I have to search for women's football

My fault for still relying on the BBC for this shite, and the fact their webpage rarely updates properly during live matches.

It is funny how all Brexit voters on the BBS suddenly have black wives. Maybe they are like the established Cubans of Florida who didn't want the worst kind of Cuban to come in, and voted Trump. Or simply cut from the same cloth as Kayne West. Money and a taste of the good life changes people.

Much like anarchist communists at university voting for conservative candidates once the benefits of their (sometimes free) education result in a degree leading to a more monied outlook.

New televisions not being supplied with the 4 correct length / width bolts to secure them to the wall brackets, how much more would it have cost them

Getting called a snowflake and loads of other shite for calling out a racist joke. Apparently it's fine if you make loads of other jokes too, don't do it all the time and have a mate who is Muslim.

What is irksome is witnessing customers entering a hostelry without adorning face coverings when the mandatory regulation is clear and well-publicised, and then seeing these people taking umbrage at being reminded of their responsibilities. In addition customers get off their rumps and proceed to make their way to the 'Wash room' without wearing face coverings when it is imperative one has to do so.Makes my ruddy blood boil.:veryangry

Who was that nazi numbnuts on here who claimed he couldn't be racist because he had a a string of ex-wives that would have made the United Colours of Benetton catalogue look like an Aryan colour chart?

I think that can be narrowed down to 2.

Scott Parker’s a big ‘it is what it is’ fan, to nobody’s surprise.

I used to sit opposite a bloke in the office who used chew gum incessantly with his mouth open and he made a disgusting noise. Extremely irritating.

People who eat with their mouth open. Masticate with your mouth shut please. It looks like a churning washing machine of half-chewed food. Horrible.

Pointless zoom meetings, because some people have nothing else to do, and appear to miss talking utter bollocks to a captive audience.

The old ‘look at how hard I am working’ trick, which doesn’t involve actually working.

My son is a noisy eater, this has caused untold amounts of arguments over the dinner table as my wife defends him at every turn so when I make a comment it causes trouble. I won't stop though.

Stellavista 29-09-2020 11:33 AM

People saying 'you're looking good' to posters of selfies on social media that have been photoshopped to f*ck. Yes, you look fantastic with eyes the size of Syd Barrett's saucers.

FB Marketplace seems to attract them.
We've had at least 3 people have 'car trouble' on the night they were due to collect stuff - do they think we are gullible idiots?
Also, free - buyer collects = will you deliver or can I meet you halfway?
NO **** OFF.

Just tell him that he sounds like a whore giving head when he's eating. When he goes "whaaaa" tell him to ask his mum;)

Really hate people who eat with their mouths open and that talk while eating. Have lots of rows at the dinner table of course with the wife when I tell my daughters off for doing it. I am causing an atmosphere according to her.
