I don't think the rest of the BBS will feel the same comparatively.

I maybe a pungent little twerp on here, but I am not a proven homophobe with racist tendencies. Those kind of things count for a lot on here.

I think you can add certain mask litterers to that. Or anyone else that thinks their litter is someone else's problem. That includes car people that purposefully load their garbage into their car to dump it near someone else's doorstop. And, the c nuts that get up in the middle of the night to dump a sofa or piss stained mattress outside someone else's front door.

They are all worse because they are making a concerted effort to make their garbage someone else's problem.

Plus, I have easy to maintain and clean kitchen workshops that you can put hot things on.

That seems to make life a whole lot easier. If you can be asked to actually clean them regularly and not be a filthy pig, of course.

Along similar lines I was in the market yesterday and there were four firemen doing their shopping (for the station meals I guess).

All four had masks on, but all four had them below their noses.

What chance have we got if people we are supposed to look up to take the piss...

Agree. I think I’ve used a similar analogy in the past. Only wearing a condom with the tip cut off.

Probably appealing to a readership of tutting retired people or wives that have never had to work.

If you listened to The Imperial March without having a clue it was from a Star Wars film… It would go down as one of the best classical pieces of music you’ve ever heard in your life. Maybe.

Coincidentally this was the exact "ditty" that put me over the edge.

It is so obviously a John Williams piece. Then again you can usually tell a Mozart piece.

I guess it comes down to individual taste when it comes down to music. I would put John Williams and the like into the classical pops genre.

I have never owned one. Height of middle class laziness. More hassle than it is worth - you have to rinse the plates before you load it. So you are both being lazy and doing extra work. Utterly pointless contraption.

File under 'packed lunches' or 'fecked up scour free countertops'.

You have never done any washing up. You eat off the same floor you use as a toilet.

Actually incorrect my friend, pre-rinsing inhibits the things from working properly, you are tricking them into believing the plates are cleaner than they really are. Google it - all the manufacturers strongly recommend that you do not pre-rinse.

All you need to do is remove any big unconsumed chunks of food, same as you would before hand-washing. Smaller food residue will be captured by the dishwasher filter which is there for a reason.

Two of my (somewhat distant) relatives play in the LA Phil. You’d hate what they do these days as every now and again they put a film on and the orchestra plays the score. I could be wrong (I often am) but I thought that was a deliberate attempt to slow traffic down, as the faster you go, the worse it gets. If you go slower, the effect is far less noticeable.

Mr Hovel Hobo,

I am more than alright.

You take the bantz and pising about on here too serously. Which has made you rather precious of late - unlike you.

You just need to learn that when people decide to have a pop at me on here, they will get it back in spades.

TBF. We want to buy a mangle. We have a lot of hot weather, so we naturally dry and finish off in the dryer. Saves on electricity. A good old fashoned mangle would take the excess water out of the towels etc.. Save on the old wrists.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoys "classical" movie music, and love The Boston Pops type stuff. I even like "classical" music played in contemporary modern day music, but don't think it belongs on a classical only radio station.

I reckon it is a decent loss leader. Get some of the 'popular' stuff on and you might attracy a few more listeners happy to hang around.

Classical music is a guilty pleasure for Sunday mornings.

Because it'll cost a shitload of money and, despite the vast amount of money that any government screws out of people with cars, there is no appetite to spend it on road infrastructure.

We're all supposed to travel by train.

Poo-sonally, I'm disappointed nobody seems to have shat themselves recently as that thread has been quiet of late. Maybe it's because many have been at home with a toilet in easy reach.

When the M25 was built I seem to remember local councils had some kind of say in the section that went through their jurisdiction. They went for concrete as it would last 5 times longer and so cost less in the long run. Apart from the cracks just before it opened that got fixed it has proved to have lasted even longer. Trouble now is the can’t simply remove the old stuff and replace with nice new as it costs way too much to remove it all. Or I could have a failing memory

Sounds like California.

It is an absolute major project to resurface the concrete Freeways, so basically it doesn't get done. They have been doing a stretch near us of about 5 miles, and they've been at it for about 3 years now... slow going by even M25 standards!

I'm sure there is a perfectly reasonable technical reason, but I've often wondered why they don't just put blacktop on top of the concrete.

Went to the pharmacy this morning to pick up some meds.

Came out and couldn't find my car key... searched all the places I had been since I got out the car, asked the pharmacy if anyone had turned them in etc..

Ended up calling the wife to bring the spare key (Only 5 minutes from home). While waiting I look in the car and there they are sitting on the seat... must have fallen out of my pocket. I had locked the car using the number pad on the door frame as I always do.

The car has a code you can enter on the key pad to open the door. I had forgotten the code and it was on a card in the glove box... Doh!

While waiting for the wife I went back in the pharmacy to keep cool in the AC... a guy walks in with a Manchester United shirt on (The black one with orange trim). I gave him a tut, tut, tut and a shake of the head... the guy didn't have a clue.

Had to get some cash out of a cash machine to pay the cleaning lady... go to cash machine and it was out of order...

I'm going back to bed I think.

I had to cancel our holiday plans on Thursday also. SC would be beside himself!

I am a cleaner. I have 6 cleaners working for me and one that cleans my house.
So I can play golf and eat big steaks on the local Reserve 10 miles up the road from me:D

England went Green light for Canada so my holidays look good in Croydon, this is the life Eh!

Nor can I. For hygiene reasons alone I couldn't do without one. Hand washed plates are still dirty.

Pie and mash shop, Sutton market, might as well stay at home:sunglasses:

He can by some self clean countertops and cockroach spray from Homebase to take back.

Les, I fear your industrial cleaning service won't sort Bimbo's accumulated filth out. The WHO has just LinkedIn Cov-20 to his kitchen. Filthy pig..that he is.

Heard it all now.

Do you wash your hands on every loo trip?

Have you washed hands as per covid protocol?

We seem to have Bimbo has Mr Filthy and Mr WLW with his surgical theatre desparately justifying his laziness with exaggerated bollox. Could come straight from the sales brochure.

PeterH 30-08-2021 08:35 AM

This annoys me..from the BBC..

'In alarming news..our world class track and trace system has highlighted a passenger from some months back coming in from Jamaica, where the extremely dangerous Jerk variant as been identified has coming from his kitchen. Said passenger went to ground but is understood to be in the Sutton área. Do not approach him, he can be identified by his racist and homophobic insinuations and the massive yellow streak running down his spine..'

This thread has gone a bit personal, not cool.

I think its just pure laziness at the end of the day , same as the filthy ***** that don't bother on the buses too.
