Dear Maidstoned Eagle

If that book had sentimental value you must be "Spitting feathers".I once lent a "Signed copy" book to a friend and when asked for it back he said he had misplaced it and could not locate it anywhere. This chappie said that in the process of moving house it will in his words "Turn up".Never did and he blamed his good lady wife who must have "Thrown it out when she was having a clearout". Ruddy fuming I was and in a rage.He offered to replace it but it was signed for goodness sake.:wallbash::wallbash: Another friend lost.:veryangry:veryangry

"Annoy" is an understatement.

My son's Under 15s have just won the league (not annoyed by that, obviously!) and start Finals on Saturday. We train on Thursday evenings, so this week's session is even more important, except we've just been told that no club is allowed to participate in ANY football related activity after 6.00pm on Thursday, because it would clash with Australia playing in the Women's World Cup. As a result clubs are not allowed to turn on floodlights.

How f*cking ridiculous. I'm looking forward to the WWC, and supporting England, but now I just think the sooner Aus get knocked out the better; that way the once in a blue moon know nothings who suddenly become experts when a WC is on can crawl back under their rocks, and we won't have to put up with this sort of spoon-feeding shite.

I've asked our Club President if they'll ban everyone from running next time the Olympics are on. :veryangry

The amount of one way roads in Central London that have cycle lanes that are one way in the opposite direction. Awful for those crossing the road checking traffic from one direction then almost getting twatted by a bike because you're mind isn't fixed on looking the other way.

No , me neither, completely shite coffee.

There was a study earlier this year that showed Costa Coffee contained 5x the caffeine content of Starbucks, so hardly surprising it tastes like brown paper.

Spain has great coffee in almost any bar or restaurant and yet, when I drove the transfer buses to the airport for holidaymakers and golfers, Brits would still exclaim "at laat, a decent cup of coffee!" when they saw the Starbucks at Malaga airport. Divs.

Buying 2 Human League tickets through Ticketmaster on Friday morning for the gig in Melbourne next March.

Pissed off #1: Get all the way through the process, enter the credit card stuff, "Sorry, there has been an error - it's our fault not yours - please try again". :wallbash:

Pissed off #2: repeat the process at least half a dozen more times, until finally it goes through, and I get the confirmation email. By this time I've been shunted back from row D to row N. :wallbash: :wallbash:

Pissed off #3: I then get an email saying one of the earlier failures was successful, so I now have 2 tickets I don't want. Not cheap at A$300 for the 2. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

Pissed off #4: I see today that Ticketmaster emailed me at 6am Saturday to say they'd noticed a duplicated order, if it was an error I should follow this process. But this email went to my Junk, so I didn't see it until Sunday afternoon. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

Pissed off #5: Followed the instructions to get the refund as soon as I saw it, only to receive another email from Ticketmaster to say my refund request was rejected, because apparently I had to act on their "get a refund" email within 24 hours, which I hadn't done because it went to Junk. :wallbash: :vader:

I know that hating Ticketmaster is pretty much an expected thing anyway, but f*ck me, they are proper bastards to deal with. So I now have to try and shift 2 tickets, thanks to their own system's incompetence. Will be interesting to see if their "Re-sell" thing works.

It's going to be interesting when the Saudi's start making problems for their high priced stars when they want to go to tournaments and international games during the season.

Also waiting for them to start begging to be allowed into the Champions League games when the mercenaries start to realise they're just over paid circus acts playing in a nonsense league.

Not directly but I'm sure the Asian Federation would appeal to FIFA if one of its members started playing in UEFA tournaments.

Off-topic but most of Kazakhstan and Russia are in Asia but are in UEFA. I guess most of their population are in the European bits? Obviously Israel is in UEFA because of Iran and Golf Boy &c.

I've felt like that since Palace went into administration. I actually hope this Saudi League takes off and English football takes a new direction.

The whole Saudi situation does confirm one thing though and that is professional footballers have no principles - like we didn't know that anyway!

At least we won't have to listen to players and ex-players pontificating about equality as when it comes down to it it's all about the cash.

Try wearing your rainbow captain's armband in SA Jordan Henderson :(

Israel was originally in the Asia federation but was expelled in the 70s (before the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran) following a resolution by Kuwait and supported, among others, by The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I have no information on Golf Boy’s involvement. Israel were in limbo for a while before associating with UEFA.

Where is the border between Europe and Asia? I'm not really sure why (in geographical, rather than political/cultural/historical, terms) they are different continents.

I think you are right.

According to NASA, Ural Mountains is the border. Istanbul has a bridge (Bosphorous, I can't spell) which says boundary between Asia and Europe. As that city is in both continents.

Ta.

Tbh one may as well say that Africa/Eurasia is one continent as well as the world’s biggest island but yes the Urals and the Bosphorus separate Europe from Foreign.
