10001th POST IN THIS THREAD :lux:

:lux:
:lux:

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 11:14 PM

I HATE YOU ELLIOT

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 11:16 PM

Your ruined me and I wasn't going to put that until I saw the post I was on. My original post was....

My name is pauldrulez and I AM A DRAFTOHOLIC

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 11:18 PM

And elliott has to rub it in on Facebook.

Well, he apologised on Faceberk.

I have my new Vernon Gholston.

Taylor Mays, Safety, USC. If he comes out and the Pats get him. I'll faint.

elliott 08-01-2009 11:25 PM

right chaps....

this is for the english (well... british) based people on here more than others, and i'm just scouting for demand at the minute.

Some of you may know that over the past 3 odd years, I've built up quite a sizeable collection of NFL game videos. All of this was free, via torrenting communities and trading with nice people.

As such, I would like to share the wealth. I haven't catalogued everything I have yet, but I would probably say I have the majority of a list that would make the top 30 NFL games ever. Some people may cry when they see the list.

Once there is a list, people can suggest games that they would like to see, and I shall burn them to DVD and post them out.

I'd quite like people to cover blank DVDs and post, but that's it. FOC.

Oh, and the first one on the list, quite obviously is:

New England @ Miami, 2004.

Strathclyde Eagle 08-01-2009 11:41 PM

Very kind of you Elliott.

Bagsy NE @ Miami.

Still the reason I want one of those orange/Taylor jerseys.

Hold up on the postage for the moment though, at least until I see what else is available.

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 11:42 PM

I'll leave that for the Dolphins fans, but any Pats videos would be great for me. I'll keep an eye on what you've got.

yeh. first task is certainly making a list!

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 11:52 PM

I'll keep my eye on them.

Any Patriots, college or high-scoring/record games would be good.

I have a nice Youtube video to post in a minute of the greatest play ever. And this time Ben, i'm not exaggerating.

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 11:54 PM

Don't suppose you have our one Superbowl Appearance do you!? ;) (Hoping that changes very VERY soon!)

Latvian Eagle 09-01-2009 12:56 AM

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here but I saw it on another site the other day that the Lions have retired their black jerseys...

What jerseys are retired in the NFL? I know the Dolphins Coral (orange) one... Must be a few others floating about... Do Atlanta still wear red? Can't say I remember the last time as everytime seem to have seen them this season they've been in white or black!

Good work on the "coral" btw... Rep points for that!

Miami haven't retired it, they just will never wear it again.

Atlanta certainly wear red (very frequently actually)
Eagles wear black too (MNF half way through the season).

Bills wear their throwbacks which are nice

I'd like to see a pattern of going "throwback" as an alternate jersey. I think it has much more tradition to it. Particularly for turkey day.

Alas, I can't find photos of the Fins throwbacks...

pauldrulez 09-01-2009 01:11 AM

Lions retiring jerseys after 0-16.

Strikes of the Pats who have 8 retired numbers. There should be 3. Hannah, Tippett and someday, Tom Brady.

The Packers have retired very few for a team thats been around forever.

Do you think they will go back to retiring Number 4 since they cancelled that last year.

pauldrulez 09-01-2009 01:12 AM

We are wearing throwbacks in weeks 3 and 6 next year against the Jets and Dolphins as its our 50th year.

So the oppo will both be wearing them as well.

elliott 09-01-2009 03:47 AM

boooooooooooo...

Go Boomer Sooners!

saxoneagle 09-01-2009 04:15 AM

F*ck those Okie C*ntflaps and their Big 12 cheating ways. Not even the best team in the conference, let alone the league.

As Jim Rome says, hope for an interception filled game that finishes 3-2 and hope that Texas take their rightful place at #1 in the rankings with Utah second :D

Okla look way stronger. I quite like their style.

Wanted Florida as they beat Alabama and I thought No1 ranking was not right.

As mainly a neutral I'd now go Okla after triple OT :D. Also this is a home fixture for Florida - the crowd seem a lot more on Gators side.

(Commentator said average plays per game is 60 odd. Okla have it near 80 and had a game at 97 plays.)

I wanted Tech to take the place but realistically they were cack. And they beat your lot.

You only just scraped your bowl win. Not worthy of true champions.

Apologies as you're from Cowboy country.

I know this is the NFL thread, so here goes.

The Cowboys logo is the best one. So much so that other teams have to incorporate it in their design.

GO COWBOYS 2009/10.

I thought red was the Falcons' regular home jersey now. I thought the black (which I'm pretty sure they've worn this past season) is now the alternate. I've definitely seen them wear red this year.

Paul, Stanley Morgan and Steve Grogan have asked for your mobile number? Can I send it on to them? ;)

And let's not talk about logos too much, or otherwise I'm going to have to get my Photoshop manual out again. I don't think too many teams get it wrong, with the exception of the Texans.

Big Ben news

pauldrulez 09-01-2009 03:18 PM

My favourite quote of the week from Total Access.

"LaDainian Tomlinson declares himself DOUBTFUL for the weekends game against Pittsburgh"

Is that his job to do that? ;)

Whilst people on here seem to love to slate LT, I can't help but think he is actually doing the correct thing.

Only one person knows the pain he is suffering and how uncomfortable it is when he runs or tries to push off from his foot. The coaching staff might think he is running OK but how many sportsman would try and hide an injury just so they could play?

I think Antonio Gates said earlier in the week the muscle has torn away from the bone. I'm amazed he's even doubtful if that's true. Sounds horrendous.

To clarify as well, I think the current problem is the groin injury, not the turf toe he had earlier in the year.

BTW I don't love to slate LT. On his day he's a fantastic player and I'd sooner see him return to form.

Oh, and Dallas is nearer to Norman, Oklahoma than it is to Austin if that's of any interest in the Cotton Bowl argument.

Just that the Cotton Bowl is in Texas, just my jokey point. I'd say most Texans think that Oklahomans can suck their cocks :o

I dont know what they will be wearing shirt wise. But its for the 50th anniversary of the Patriots. I think we should have worn the red for all the home games, or even all the home division games.

All I can remember (will find the facts in a minute) is that its being worn for one home and one away game. I'd imagine its at home to the Jets and away to the Dolphins as the Phins wear white at home when its hot (is that right?)

pauldrulez 09-01-2009 03:51 PM

Ignore that. Nothing to do with Dolphins

Quote:

The original AFL franchises will celebrate the 50th anniversary season by wearing throwbacks in weeks 3 and 6, in 'AFL' matchups. The Pats will wear red, and white, against the Jets and Bills.

Fellow Palace bruv. College football is so integrated into NFL. In nearly every game the players announce the college they played football at.

Tony Romo...Eastern Illinois
Travis Wilson...Oklahoma
Roy Williams...Texas
Zach Thomas...Texas Tech.....

From what I remember hearing, its both teams as its the celebration.

I got the original part wrong. Its not just the Pats anniversary. Its AFL instead.

We play other ex-AFL teams next year as well, they may add them in. We play the NY Titans (Jets), Buffalo, Houston Oilers (now Texans) as well as the Broncos next year. Maybe we will wear them in all 4.

Yes, and yes. I do think so. Texas should've finish #2 in the rankings though... which kind of defeats the object of the rankings and the title games in the first place.

There should have been an 8 team play-off - Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, Penn, Ohio, Utah, Alabama.

Would be fun. I think it would be a Florida Utah final ;)

Got to go back to work but will be back later posting some NFL Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. (I think most went to college, but not a certain requirement.)

Most Cowboy cheerleaders sucked off their lecturers at college... if the programme on CMT is anything to go by! ;)

Looking at the New Year website, most of them were high school bands.

There were some erm... developed ones. :) Ones that actually looked legal :p

Is this a challenge now to find cheerleader pictures, as its one I dont mind losing ;)

In the US Paul, they go to High School until they are 18. In England, a lot of them would be legal :p

I love the way we're all talking about cheerleaders and "development" and there's this post in between it all.

It's one of the geekiest posts on here!:lux:

More cheerleader pictures please. They're all being transferred to our Sabres forum. We've already have an extensive debate on the merits of TT girlfriend (/airbag) and Ugly Colt's missus. TT won.

pauldrulez 09-01-2009 05:34 PM

Nice to know we can be of use to the Sabres despite the rest of us (well me) lacking in Football ability.

I can catch and Punt though.

True. She looks she'd treat you proper as she popped your cherry. Once you'd blown in her in 5 seconds, move onto the one in the middle. I reckon she's filthy.
