10001th POST IN THIS THREAD :lux:
:lux: :lux: |
I HATE YOU ELLIOT
|
Your ruined me and I wasn't going to put that until I saw the post I was on. My original post was....
My name is pauldrulez and I AM A DRAFTOHOLIC |
And elliott has to rub it in on Facebook.
Well, he apologised on Faceberk. I have my new Vernon Gholston. Taylor Mays, Safety, USC. If he comes out and the Pats get him. I'll faint. |
right chaps....
this is for the english (well... british) based people on here more than others, and i'm just scouting for demand at the minute. Some of you may know that over the past 3 odd years, I've built up quite a sizeable collection of NFL game videos. All of this was free, via torrenting communities and trading with nice people. As such, I would like to share the wealth. I haven't catalogued everything I have yet, but I would probably say I have the majority of a list that would make the top 30 NFL games ever. Some people may cry when they see the list. Once there is a list, people can suggest games that they would like to see, and I shall burn them to DVD and post them out. I'd quite like people to cover blank DVDs and post, but that's it. FOC. Oh, and the first one on the list, quite obviously is: New England @ Miami, 2004. |
Very kind of you Elliott.
Bagsy NE @ Miami. Still the reason I want one of those orange/Taylor jerseys. Hold up on the postage for the moment though, at least until I see what else is available. |
I'll leave that for the Dolphins fans, but any Pats videos would be great for me. I'll keep an eye on what you've got.

I'll keep my eye on them.
Any Patriots, college or high-scoring/record games would be good. I have a nice Youtube video to post in a minute of the greatest play ever. And this time Ben, i'm not exaggerating. |
O M G ! |
been there!!!! (not literally, just saying that it's been done to death).
|

Great play to take away Paul's moment of glory! :lux: |
Don't suppose you have our one Superbowl Appearance do you!? ;) (Hoping that changes very VERY soon!)
|
Not sure if it's been mentioned on here but I saw it on another site the other day that the Lions have retired their black jerseys...
What jerseys are retired in the NFL? I know the Dolphins Coral (orange) one... Must be a few others floating about... Do Atlanta still wear red? Can't say I remember the last time as everytime seem to have seen them this season they've been in white or black! |
Quote:
Nope. Sorry. I don't think I have any Panthers game |
Boo!!! I take back my comments now!!!
|
Quote:
Good work on the "coral" btw... Rep points for that! Miami haven't retired it, they just will never wear it again. Atlanta certainly wear red (very frequently actually) Eagles wear black too (MNF half way through the season). Bills wear their throwbacks which are nice I'd like to see a pattern of going "throwback" as an alternate jersey. I think it has much more tradition to it. Particularly for turkey day. Alas, I can't find photos of the Fins throwbacks... |
Lions retiring jerseys after 0-16.
Strikes of the Pats who have 8 retired numbers. There should be 3. Hannah, Tippett and someday, Tom Brady. The Packers have retired very few for a team thats been around forever. Do you think they will go back to retiring Number 4 since they cancelled that last year. |
We are wearing throwbacks in weeks 3 and 6 next year against the Jets and Dolphins as its our 50th year.
So the oppo will both be wearing them as well. |

Elvis the Pat is a load of wank :o |
Quote:
why do you think that? |
might start making my list now if i'm staying up late tonight.
may as well and all that! |
|
Now that looks like an anti English terrorist wanting to play some hard football.

Are you watching BCS game? Go Florida! |
boooooooooooo...
Go Boomer Sooners! |
F*ck those Okie C*ntflaps and their Big 12 cheating ways. Not even the best team in the conference, let alone the league.
As Jim Rome says, hope for an interception filled game that finishes 3-2 and hope that Texas take their rightful place at #1 in the rankings with Utah second :D |
Quote:
Wanted Florida as they beat Alabama and I thought No1 ranking was not right. As mainly a neutral I'd now go Okla after triple OT :D. Also this is a home fixture for Florida - the crowd seem a lot more on Gators side. (Commentator said average plays per game is 60 odd. Okla have it near 80 and had a game at 97 plays.) |
Quote:
I wanted Tech to take the place but realistically they were cack. And they beat your lot. Computer got it right. You only just scraped your bowl win. Not worthy of true champions. Apologies as you're from Cowboy country. |
I know this is the NFL thread, so here goes.
The Cowboys logo is the best one. So much so that other teams have to incorporate it in their design. GO COWBOYS 2009/10. |

And let's not talk about logos too much, or otherwise I'm going to have to get my Photoshop manual out again. I don't think too many teams get it wrong, with the exception of the Texans. |

Grogan and Morgan possibly. Definite Pats hall of famers. Retired numbers, not so sure.
|
Quote:
|
They only have solo stars so there would be no point having 53 little stars instead
|
Quote:
Texas Tech beat Texas AT HOME Oklahoma beat Tech AT HOME Texas beat Oklahoma AT A NEUTRAL STADIUM. All three teams were 1-1 against each other but Texas were the only one of the three not to have had a home game. |

My favourite quote of the week from Total Access.
"LaDainian Tomlinson declares himself DOUBTFUL for the weekends game against Pittsburgh" Is that his job to do that? ;) |
I think I have found quote of the day from Eric Manginis press conference.

As Elliott mentioned it earlier, here are the Fins' throwbacks that they wore in the 2003 Thanksgiving game in Dallas. http://images.sportsline.com/u/photo...img6871956.jpg |

Only one person knows the pain he is suffering and how uncomfortable it is when he runs or tries to push off from his foot. The coaching staff might think he is running OK but how many sportsman would try and hide an injury just so they could play? |

To clarify as well, I think the current problem is the groin injury, not the turf toe he had earlier in the year. BTW I don't love to slate LT. On his day he's a fantastic player and I'd sooner see him return to form. |
Quote:
Seriously, it was a three way tie and Okla gave out the biggest spanking. From memory the Texas Okla game had serious controversy. I thought everyone was saying Okla got robbed (even after video evidence ) If in the final weeks if the game was replayed at Texas I think Okla would have sorted you out. Okla threw the game away yesterday. You just scraped your bowl game. I agree about Utah. It's between them and Florida as number 1. |
Can we keep the College Football talk in the right place before someone brings up OJ's mob as a having #1 credentials?
Oh, and Dallas is nearer to Norman, Oklahoma than it is to Austin if that's of any interest in the Cotton Bowl argument. |
Quote:
Go on Paul. Admit that your old logo kicked the ass out of the present. Elvis the Pat even has a Dallas Cowboy Star stuck to his head :D (A face on a flag.....what the f uck :D :D.) |
Quote:
|
Quote:
Just that the Cotton Bowl is in Texas, just my jokey point. I'd say most Texans think that Oklahomans can suck their cocks :o |
Don't the Jets wear throwbacks all the time already? Or are they talking about that ghastly blue/gold uni from when the team was the New York Titans?
|
Quote:
|
Quote:
All I can remember (will find the facts in a minute) is that its being worn for one home and one away game. I'd imagine its at home to the Jets and away to the Dolphins as the Phins wear white at home when its hot (is that right?) |
Ignore that. Nothing to do with Dolphins

Quote:
Tony Romo...Eastern Illinois Travis Wilson...Oklahoma Roy Williams...Texas Zach Thomas...Texas Tech..... You get my drift :o |
Quote:
Paully, well said. I bet Pat will be back full time some time like the Jets logo. A family member got me an Elvis cap for Xmas a few years back. I took it back to the shop and get it exchanged for a Pat the Pat:p |
Jerod Mayo... Linebacker ... Tennessee.
Wes Welker... Wide Receiver... Texas Tech Matt Cassel... Quarterback... I didn't play in college;) USC Thats how they do their own announcements on CBS I think. |
Quote:
Booooooooooooooooooooooo |
I dont know if Pat will be back, a lot of people like the Flying Elvis as well.
Me? It doesn't bother me what we have. I like the throwback shirts though. But then again I buy some of the red QB shirts anyway. |
Quote:
I got the original part wrong. Its not just the Pats anniversary. Its AFL instead. We play other ex-AFL teams next year as well, they may add them in. We play the NY Titans (Jets), Buffalo, Houston Oilers (now Texans) as well as the Broncos next year. Maybe we will wear them in all 4. |

Anyway, does anyone else prefer the Saturday night games to the Monday Night games.
For me, because the late night games are 1.30, its just an extension of Saturday night for me. Whereas I work on Tuesdays so a Monday night game winds me up. Looking forward to Titans-Ravens tomorrow though. |

Bowl game stats Bradford - 63% completion, 256 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT McCoy - 71% completion, 414 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT F*ck Oklahoma :D |

I'm with Paul. Saturday night games.
Still, I like it when there is a Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night game. |
I agree with you on both points sLIII.
They had a load of the Marching Bands at the New Year parade. The cheerleaders are supposed to be hot right, why do some of them resemble Jabba the Hutt. |
Quote:
Do you think Texas could really cope with Florida or Utah? I don't, yet we'll never know!! |
Quote:
There should have been an 8 team play-off - Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, Penn, Ohio, Utah, Alabama. |

Looking at the New Year website, most of them were high school bands.
There were some erm... developed ones. :) Ones that actually looked legal :p Is this a challenge now to find cheerleader pictures, as its one I dont mind losing ;) |

Oh, excellent.
Off to google :) |

It's one of the geekiest posts on here!:lux: More cheerleader pictures please. They're all being transferred to our Sabres forum. We've already have an extensive debate on the merits of TT girlfriend (/airbag) and Ugly Colt's missus. TT won. |
Nice to know we can be of use to the Sabres despite the rest of us (well me) lacking in Football ability.
I can catch and Punt though. |
Numero uno: I'll try and improve as I go through:
