Im watching videos on the Combine and what the coaches look for in players, the broad jump has just made me choke on my tea! Darius Heyward Bey and Pats Linebacker Guyton last year jumped 10'9"!!!!!!!!!!! I think I would manage about 2 foot!

The amazing thing about Guyton is that he topped the charts in 3 or 4 drills at the Combine.

And went undrafted.

The thing about the combine that I will always remember is Rich Eisen doing the sprint ... is it 60 metres? Hilarious ... :D

Ignore the fact I dropped him after 3 weeks though :D

I did then trade Tashard Choice and D-Ware for him which helped my end of season run :lux:

You re-joining the Fantasy season this year?

Think we're having 2 leagues :lux:

No, I need a season back watching before I re-join.

40 yard dash.

Swanny32 24-02-2010 01:31 PM

The combine has it's own section on NFL.com where it says you can watch it live. Will the live stream work in the UK or will it be affected by that stupid area problem?

pauldrulez 24-02-2010 02:05 PM

Sometimes it worked last year.

If not, there are very good NFLN streams in other places :p

Not sure if this belongs here or on the college thread, but I wish some of these 30 for 30 films were repeated at a different time. Prime time means I've got about 0% chance of seeing them, and the start of the one on the University of Miami last night was fascinating. Seeing the riots that those guys grew up around, seeing why they had the desire to improve themselves, interesting stuff.

Thought the stuff about Jerome Brown at midfield before games was a lot tamer than I expected though.

Teddy Bruschi jersey last night at the villa anyone?

Great parking if it was you. Much respect.

pauldrulez 25-02-2010 07:46 PM

Not me.

Guy in Philly Eagles coat at Birmingham New Street. Must have been about 5.45ish?

Did keep an eye out for some of you last night, see if I recognised anyone after completely missing Elliott at Scunthorpe (aka sitting near him on train and outside ground and not noticing until I was getting off the train at Donny)

Swanny32 25-02-2010 10:18 PM

The guy with the eagles jacket was probably the same guy I met at Newcastle away, nice bloke but not a bbser

In that case I sat directly opposite you on that train!! Was going to say something assuming it was someone on this thread but as i didnt know who i just sat tight and smiled to myself!

pauldrulez 26-02-2010 11:20 AM

First weekend with no Palace watching or NFL since the Brizzle away game in August. :sob:

Might decide to watch the Combine with Soccer Saturday and 6 Nations on in the background.

Yea he was sat right in front of us on Wednesday night. Was going to say hello, but I went and got a chicken balti pie instead.

Sad about Westy leaving us but for the best. Would like to see him do well elsewhere as a mainly receiving back. Still think he could prove a major asset as that. Hopefully will see a bit more of Eldra Buckley this year, couple of times i've seen him he looks like he could do ok.

pauldrulez 26-02-2010 12:09 PM

If Kevin Faulk retires, i'd love to see Westbrook as our 3rd down guy. Would fit well into our offense as well.

But, if Faulk is staying around, I prefer him to Westbrook.

If it's the same guy he was about 6 foot and looked a little bit like a hippy.

Do yourself a favour, watch Canada shit all over whoever they play in the Gold Medal game of the Winter Olympics. It will be the best sporting moment of this decade.

pauldrulez 26-02-2010 12:21 PM

Watched the women shit on the USA last night for 1 and a half periods. Before I fell asleep :D But that was tiredness.

I have watched most of the Olympics, so will no doubt watch that.
