I don't think it has been brought up here, or at least didn't see it. I've been catching up on the R&R podcasts and just listened to the Warren Sapp 'incident' the night before the Superbowl

Swanny32 17-04-2010 10:51 PM

Care to explain?

pauldrulez 17-04-2010 10:55 PM

I think he was accused of Sexual Assault.

NFL Network dropped him like a hot potato.

Then he was found innocent, but had missed the Superbowl week.

jazman 17-04-2010 11:20 PM

The chat was all about the fact that Sapp had been dropped and replaced by Michael Irvine who himself had been subject of a similar charge ...

pauldrulez 18-04-2010 10:15 PM

Right, my famed final Mock Draft. Now extended into 2 rounds  Mostly done on the train home from Derby while my Dad drifted through various states of conciousness :D

No way we take a RB with our 2nd pick, CB first I agree but 2nd pick will be either a safety or DE

jazman 18-04-2010 11:03 PM

I know this will upset a number of people on here but I fancy the Jets for next season. I like what they have done so far in preparation for the new season ...

AddiscombeEagle 18-04-2010 11:12 PM

agreed i can see the jets having a run at it.

It's a value pick there.

Matthews is a first round prospect. Dallas have got the 3 headed monster at RB. Look at Washington's RB situation.

McCoy will be a better RB if he can take 50% of the carries. Draft Matthews and allow him and Bell to compete for the majority share.

With what is an inexperienced QB, you have to run the ball to take the pressure off him.

Dunlap or Nate Allen could be the pick, but I think Reid would see too much value in Matthews.

AddiscombeEagle 18-04-2010 11:29 PM

so you have made 64 educated guesses there paul. What's your target out of them being exactly right?

pauldrulez 18-04-2010 11:43 PM

Last year, I done the first round.

I got 7 exact picks in the exact spots

I got 3 other picks to the right team, but in the wrong spot.

And I got 27 players in the first round.

Not too shabby :p

pauldrulez 18-04-2010 11:48 PM

It doesn't help though when you get Oakland up high.

I tried to second guess them last year. They should have took Crabtree, but I thought they'd go speed and take Maclin. But no, they took Heyward-Bey and screwed up 4 picks in one fell swoop.

This year, i've just gone for the quickest freak on the board at a position of need. Watch Al Davis take Taylor Mays or someone else who is quick and big.

BLUE BOY 19-04-2010 04:42 PM

ESPN to show 1st round of draft live,

also, will be stunned if Seahawks take Bulaga at 6.

Swanny32 19-04-2010 04:44 PM

I'm so tempted to get ESPN now, problem is that the Draft is on at stupid o'clock in the morning. This time last year I was out in Florida and watching it Live at a reasonable time in the afternoon whilst having a dip in the pool and a beer every so often. I hate this poxy country!

jazman 19-04-2010 04:57 PM

I read a rumour that we were after a weirdly named WR in the later rounds .. can't recall his name right now ...

Listened to more of the R&R podcasts. On the pre draft ones at the moment and very interesting listening to the bits about the Raiders and how they drafted a couple of years back now .. kind of mocking them but was good listening ...

ESPN is very close to appearing on my screens right now ... mainly down to my following of the NBA and NHL play offs ... and they have MLB on there too .. :sob:

jazman 19-04-2010 04:59 PM

May I add that there are some great names in that list. Colt McCoy isn't very American though is it ... ;) :D

Swanny32 19-04-2010 05:02 PM

Aren't the NHL playoff games at stupid o'clock in the morning.

I'll be stunned if Bulaga gets past the Chiefs tbh. I think the Seahawks get Trent Williams.

I'm just basing this on the fact that the Skins take Williams as he fits their scheme better.

Then the Chiefs go for a need and take Russell Okung (overrated), and the Seahawks do what all teams do, and panic that the best Tackles are going, and gamble on Bulaga.

If the Skins take Okung, Chiefs take Bulaga, Hawks take Williams or Best Player Available.
