If this is the case and with them signing Holt I reckon they'll pick a WR or receiving TE in the first few rounds this evening. |

Another potential need for the Eagles is a third string QB - John Skelton has been mentioned
Hmmmmm |

Seen highlights of him on Youtube and he's pretty darn quick. Westy was initially special teams so if we did go for McCluster I reckon he'd start there too. |

I also think Andy may go DT in the 2nd round.......he does love them linemen :p How about Cody? Hmmmmmmm |
I really think he's going with a safety, he'd be crazy not to.

Need OL!!!
|
Yeah maybe a Tackle will be the next pick, Kolb is going to need some decent protection next season and if we take one at 37 then it's one less any of the other NFC East boys can get which works in our favour with two decent DE's now. I really think that we have the edge over our division rivals in this draft.

Can't believe Denver took Tebow. Was shocked watching that.
Clausen will go early today; Don't be shocked if the Vikings take him with the 2nd pick of the day.... If not, there are a whole host of teams picking early today that could do with a QB; Bucs, Raiders, Bills... Superb first day for the Lions. We know about Suh but I was delighted to see them take a gamble on Best. At the start of the season, he was electric for Cal. Could be a contender for offensive rookie of the year if the chemistry in Detroit is right... |

But we need a passrusher and DE as well. And I  McCluster. 3rd down guy and slot WR |
Good 1st round for Seahawks, made even better by the way E Thomas fell to them at 14.
The Rams will trade the 1st pick of today and i reckon they will get a decent amount in return. |
Bills and Browns are the 2 teams interested in moving up to #33.

Talking of TE's I am almost as excited to see whether last years rookie, Ingram makes it. If you go back on this thread I was really big on this guy until the ACL injury in training camp. The Guy is a BEAST |
He was well-liked, but I believe he had previous injuries as well which was the reason he dropped in the first place.

I would assume the physio and injury care in the NFL is a darn sight better than it is in college football so hopefully they'll be able to put those injuries behind them and go on to be massive players for us over the next few years.
Seen a few people saying that we might take a QB with our 37th overall pick tonight and then look at trading Vick somewhere to get a couple of picks later on in the draft. That would be very interesting although I cant see it happening personally. |
One question. How is college football funded? I know kids get scholarships to go there, damn, I was offered one in athletics when I was younger but didn't fancy the move to the States but thatcan't be it. It has to be different to NFL I'm certain.

Presume its tickets and tv revenue, certainly get the attendances and a fair bit of national coverage too.

Just watched the Total Access coverage of the draft and has got me up to speed quite nicely ...
Even more pleased with the Dez Bryant pick. Unsprisingly he has a few issues but nothing that can't be ironed out. Gives Romo another weapon to use making our offence even stronger in what is a tough schedule this season ... Interested to know what our Round2 pick will be and who takes Jimmy Caulson (sp?). I have a hunch the Browns will trade up to get him ... |
