So, I get the whole Revis thing BUT...

Just watching the match and they showed a little highlight reel of Revis' coverage. They showed 5 instances and on four I saw holding. One was called but three weren't.

Good corner or good extension of the rules? ;)

F'ing Shonn Greene took my fantasy points away. At one stage all I needed was 10 yards for a win.

Hooray for ESPN. Not bad highlights on SC. Still mis NFL Gameday though.

Ouch for those two Philly players Kolb and the other one that looked pissed. How did they let them back to play later on in the game with concussion? They are being investigated for that I understand ... and god, that green jersey is pretty horrible this season.

What a hit by Ray Lewis last night ... but what about all the injuries so far? Seems more than ever ... Pretty decent first week of the season in my view, some great action ...

And a draw in the fantasy league 70-70 with Paul

Wasn't it him that blocked form behind to assist the TD?

You obviously didn't see the coverage on the other side then where Cromartie was called for Pass Interferance on EVERYTHING - A couple of dubious ones to say the least.

Swings and roundabouts I guess ;)

Swapping shirts during matches is not allowed ;)

See you in the Cherries :p

Pleasing news from a Cowboys perspective that Columbo and Kosier are due back to the training pitch this week and should see Barron back on the bench ... interesting article on NFL.com about Barron being Roy Williams travel partner on the way home after the came ... uncomfortable or what! :D

I think they tend to get away with more when they are the best in the league.

Small bits of holding become "tight coverage"

Bit like Randy Moss gets away with bits of pass interference when he runs into the CB before he leaps to catch a TD. Some he gets away with, some he doesn't.

All part of the game.

Can't wait for Sunday's game. I'm apprehensive, but I think the Patriots have so many more weapons than last year and a better O-Line than the Ravens IMO, that it'll be tough to shut them all down. If the young, fast, D hold up again for them, it'll be much easier than what I previously thought.

McCourty shut down Ocho and Owens for 60 minutes, Ocho picked on Butler for the 4th quarter and padded his stats. They're facing a much easier pass D this week and the same sort of Run D.

In reality, it should be an easier game on Defense and a tougher game on Offense but being a Pats-Jets game, I don't expect it to happen :vader:

Good god that Jets game sucked last night. Great stadium, shit fans even worse offense. Huge storm before hand with massive bolt lightening hitting the ground only a few miles away, they stopped us going to our seats because of it. $8.75 for a beer and not even a pint!!

Antonio Cromartie must have had as many penalties as he does kids.

He sucks.

Benzhiyi 14-09-2010 10:46 PM

Maroney traded to the Broncos.

Shame that, I enjoyed him stinking up the Pats every year.

One guy behind us last night said exactly the same thing.

He can't do the physical stuff that Taylor and Green-Ellis did on Sunday and throughout pre-season.

Massive bust.

That officiating crew are known for it apparently. Very well reported in the build-up to the game.

The fact that Cromartie is one of the worst Cornerbacks in the NFL (especially in Bump and Run coverage) helps as well.

Inside the stadium? No-one drinks inside the stadium because of that - why bother when you can tailgate the whole day and get wasted on your own booze :p

Swanny32 15-09-2010 03:41 PM

Well the Jets fans were still drinking shit loads inside.
