Well you are literally gonna have to ;)

I agree though it has the makings of a classic day

BLUE BOY 19-01-2008 07:43 PM

I would love to see the Chargers stuff the Giants in the superbowl.

It would be cool to see all the Charger fans give it to Eli Manning after the way he said he would never sign for them after they drafted him.

And after all the talk of the Rams in their Los Angeles era, the woman who moved them out of LA and onto her hometown is no more.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3203573

By the way, some of the user comments on that story are brutal.

Right, rule in recent years is that one home team wins easily in the conference championship round, while in the other conference the road team creates an upset.

Therefore it has to be New England (-14.5) and the Giants (+7.5).

I sent you an email and a PM about an avatar Strathclyde.
I havent posted on here before but I've been watching NFL for past 7 years or so and the Superbowl game that I would like to see would have a Brady-Favre clash. That would sort out the better QB.

elliott 20-01-2008 02:58 AM

wow. you aren't wrong strath!!! some vicious comments on there!

however... they seem to all agree so it would generally suggest something!

from my wikipedia-ing, she does seem like a bit of a golddigger!

Strathclyde Eagle 20-01-2008 03:43 PM

Must admit I came to the same conclusion. Seven husbands, one died in a suspicious drowning accident. People will put two and two together and come up with theories.

The Dad of the family I stayed with in Orange County just after the Rams left town hated her. Said she had no commitment to winning, she was only about making money. Safe to say she wasn't popular in the greater Los Angeles area.

Will get round to it a bit later if that's ok. :p

I got in the mood for these games by listening to the San Diego Superchargers song.

The worst song in football!

Sitting here in my Pats shirt waiting for the start. And before anyone says "gloryhunter" or anything, I supported them before they were invinclible(ish)

pauldrulez 20-01-2008 09:50 PM

BLUE BOY 20-01-2008 09:55 PM

I'm with you pauldrulez followed tthem since ch4 started coverage 20yrs+ and only picked them for the name, x girlfriend at the time chose bengals :D

pauldrulez 20-01-2008 10:24 PM

lol
14-6 to update those without SKY.

2 T-Ds - 2 F-Gs

curly c.p.f.c 20-01-2008 10:34 PM

I'm on a top result as Sky have given me two weeks free footie etc and have got to see NFL live. We should have buried them by now IMO (slightly biased mayb?)

pauldrulez 20-01-2008 10:36 PM

They are focusing on Moss and Brady like last weeks Pats game. 14-9 btw. Got the players to bury them especially with the injuries that the Chargers have got, however slight they may be.

pauldrulez 20-01-2008 10:37 PM

Its now 14-9 at Half Time. 2 converted touchdowns play 3 field goals.

curly c.p.f.c 20-01-2008 10:45 PM

I think the Pat's look the superior side 1st half

AddiscombeEagle 20-01-2008 10:50 PM

From my novice opinion, been impressed with the Chargers defence though.

Rivers don't look fit at all, but you have to admire him.
