Is the pro-bowl shown, I cant remember back to last year. Does SKY hold the rights to show it live?

Strathclyde Eagle 20-01-2008 11:49 PM

Sky normally show it. It was on at a strange time last year I remember.

Not worth the space on a Sky+ box though.

pauldrulez 20-01-2008 11:53 PM

OK, probably watch it to see all the Patriots players. Cant believe Brady has been sacked 3 times now

elliott 20-01-2008 11:54 PM

Pro Bowl is like 4am because it's Hawaii. That sucks balls. And it's wank.

Go Chargers!!!

pauldrulez 20-01-2008 11:59 PM

Maroney my MOM just for the last Half of play and that first down.

pauldrulez 21-01-2008 12:00 AM

21-12 all over GO PATRIOTS

pauldrulez 21-01-2008 12:02 AM

18-0 for the Pats. Brady not his best game. Same with Randy Moss but as I said above Maroney was excellent

elliott 21-01-2008 12:07 AM

MOM?

We're all American in here. You mean MVP!

curly c.p.f.c 21-01-2008 12:07 AM

It wasn't the greatest game ever, least both my footie teams are on a marvelous unbeaten run, although yesterday's was so much more important/special

pauldrulez 21-01-2008 12:09 AM

I meant MVP lol I was looking on other websites at football things lol

Very disappointing. The Patriots were there for the taking today but SD just couldn't get it done. 3 Interceptions really should have yielded more than 12 points but ultimately 3 trips to the 10 yard line only to come away with field goals cost them. Why oh why they tried to run wide on the 3rd and 1 inside the 5 I don't know, blast it straight up the middle, worst case another 3 attempts from the 3 where you should have been able to just grind it in. Don't like to harp to what ifs but with a healthy Rivers, Gates and LT today and I really think we'd have seen a different result.

I really do think either the Packers or Giants can take them in the Superbowl.

pauldrulez 21-01-2008 12:22 AM

I hate to agree with you Young Trolley but you are right there. We were not at the races today. Brady had a bit of a shocker but still got a couple of touchdown passes. Result could've been different. Thankfully wasnt

Young Trolley 21-01-2008 12:25 AM

When they sit and watch the tape though this will give whoever they face in 2 weeks time great belief and that is huge when you're playing an 18-0 side. Especially if it's the Giants who ran them so close anyway a few weeks back.

Strathclyde Eagle 21-01-2008 12:27 AM

When the offence had a slightly off day the defence stepped up. They do it when they need to.

There's some daft stat that in the third quarter of close games the Patriots' defence is the worst in the league, whereas in the fourth quarter of close games the same defence is the best in the league.

pauldrulez 21-01-2008 12:28 AM

Predictions for next match anyone.

Bring it on we won't play like that again IMHO

Got my Pack jersey lined up for the superbowl. Anyone but pats!

Come on GB!

Expecting to see Ed The Hulk at Lambeau too which will make it all the more special for me, given he's my hero!

Benzhiyi 21-01-2008 12:40 AM

The Patriots are a much more exciting team to watch when they appear mortal. ;) :o

As Strath said, the Chargers D got it done, and Rivers came up with another gutsy showing, but you can't piss away four Redzone opportunities in Foxborough. Simple as that.

By the way, Rivers is starting to look the part behind center. SD could be really strong next year, particularly with a full season of Chris Chambers.

Young Trolley 21-01-2008 12:44 AM

Thought Vincent Jackson really stepped up as well through the post season.

davematt 21-01-2008 12:55 AM

Patriots showed tonight how strong they are across the field. Brady had an off day (Well, he still threw for 2 touchdowns) but their defence was excellent. Chargers wouldnt have scored a touchdown if the game went on for another few hours. They never looked like scoring apart from field goals.

Agree with Ben though, SD will be stronger next year, and will again be big contenders.

Not watching Giants @ Green Bay, but I can see a Green Bay win (It looks freezing! Apparantly its -20 there!!!)

Whoever makes it too Arizona, they are going to have to come up with something special that no one else has been able to do; find a big enough weakness to beat the Patriots.

18-0 is a incredible feat and they deserve to win in two weeks time.
