We have no logic to our draft system, see the Eagles needs for last years draft and then look at how many DE's we drafted. Andy Reid magic!

Reid does to a certain extent, he identifies a weakness, normally in the lines, then drafts a million people there so someone should turn out good.

I got Steelers, Cardinals and Texans

saxoneagle 10-03-2011 09:22 AM

I got Redskins, Vikings and Broncos. What crap!

pauldrulez 10-03-2011 12:43 PM

Pats, Jags, Texans.

Well, all 3 teams hate the Colts. Could be worse.

At least you have now got a mild affinity to Denver before you get there ;)

Not moving there. Living in Zurich.

Cam Newton working out for 8 teams, Panthers, Redskins, Titans, Bills, Vikings, Dolphins, Bengals and Browns.

The fact that the Panthers are giving him a workout says a lot, they obviously acknowledge the fact they need a QB, don't have faith in Clausen and I'd be surprised if Cam isn't the first name called out by the Commish next month. He might not be worth the 1st overall pick but the fact that the Panthers don't have a second round pick they are almost forced to take Newton at #1 or face a season with Clausen.

It's still not clear if Panthers are that keen on Newton, or if they're just trying to appear so, in order to force the hand of another team to trade up to get him.

Ron Rivera has explicitly stated that this team's most pressing need is a productive QB, and although they've not necessarily given up on Clausen in the long term, he's not going to be up to it this year.

But what they really need is an impact player, and one to capture the imagination of the fans. I can't see a Defensive Tackle etc. doing that, so an explosive talent like Newton isn't out of the question.

If the Vikings take Newton I'm going to cry.

Would you take number 17 and a 3rd + 5th for #12?

If Quinn was sat there, I reckon the Vikes consider the deal.

y2rich 10-03-2011 07:03 PM

Seeing as we have no 3rd I'd say yes we probabaly would. I reckon if Watt, Bowers etc. are gone then we look to trade back and take Locker at the back end of the first.

Vince Hilaire's Afro 10-03-2011 07:58 PM

One of the teams expressing an interest in Newton is the Seahawks, who are all the way down at #25......don't know if the Panthers are keen on Hasselback as an interim QB, although I've heard he wants to stay in Seattle if they can work something out.
