But, Pats have dropped 25 picks. In a draft where 20-50 is the same sort of calibre of player according to Mayock and others.

And with the reaching on QBs etc and others not picking properly, Bill will get 3 good 2nd round players.

Saints have been aggressive too. Jordan and Ingram added to a damn good team will make them one to watch next year. Them and the Falcons trying to outdo eachother.

Funk Butter 29-04-2011 05:16 AM

So the Falcons have been totally embarrassed in this draft by the Saints. Getting Jordan at #24 and Ingram at #28 is much better value than getting Julio Jones at #6, #27, #59, #20 (next year) and #54 (next year).

SteveyHawking 29-04-2011 05:16 AM

Well documented that this draft is DEEP.

I'm not.

The 20-50 thing is just like last year.

I have my own opinions on players.

I love the Solder pick. Every other Patriots fan appears to hate it. We have a need. We filled it.

I hate Ingram. Product of an awesome O-Line and IMO Trent Richardson looked the better RB.

Funk Butter 29-04-2011 05:20 AM

If the Falcons are willing to give up 6 picks for Julio Jones, why weren't they willing to give up 3 picks for Calvin Johnson?

pauldrulez 29-04-2011 05:21 AM

Bears take a Lineman.

And Carimi is decent value at 29.

The Jackasses are on the clock. And I hope they don't take Wilkerson.

Agree. Agree. But I think Ingram is a good fit with the Saints in the rotation RB system they'll use.

With such a reach they may as well have tried to push for AJ Green who is head and shoulders above all the other receivers in this class.

That pick definitely works out for both the Pats and Saints.

pauldrulez 29-04-2011 05:24 AM

With 3 picks left, I wonder if the Bengals/Bills decide to come up and get their QB (be it Mallett or Dalton)

Sorry, don't mean to have stiffed Paul by blanking out my post.

Just ended up getting deeper than I wanted but was calling out Paul for copying and posting from other sites. Happy to take it back and apologise

Supposedly, they did make a push for Cincy's pick and thought they had a deal, but Cincy decided to keep it at the last minute. Knowing the history of Atlanta sports, we probably offered them less than we offered the Browns.

I don't take offence to it.

But, I don't copy and paste.

A lot of my opinions on this draft came from watching prospect tape on Patriots.com, and I took the PFW magazine and Patriots draft newspaper to Donny to do my Pats draft board.

pauldrulez 29-04-2011 05:28 AM

Wow, that was quick by the Steelers.

One pick to go before bed.

I think I guessed at Aaron Williams when one of our CPFC Packers fans asked me about this pick on Twitter yesterday.

Chester 29-04-2011 05:28 AM

Happy days

You're a Steelers fan, right? Can never remember.

Cameron Heyward? Typical Steelers Defender right?

Stay and converse, it really doesn't bother me what people say about me.
