There's a few guys I like late on, but we've already taken players at those spots.

Bring on Free Agency and Trades. We need them.

Andy Reid is usually far more active too and we've been strangely quiet thus far. Free agency and trades will be important for us too.

And we trade back with the Ravens. Definitely back on track. :p

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 03:55 AM

And we go corner with Curtis Marsh. Hmmm... Thought we'd go defensive line or linebacker at this stage.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 04:28 AM

Another 2 rounds successfully negotiated. :)

Funk Butter 30-04-2011 05:26 AM

No idea why the Falcons went ILB with their 3rd rounder. I always assumed they were happy with Curtis Lofton.

Dave Nunn 30-04-2011 09:26 AM

I'm well happy with the Browns draft to date!!! Definitely drafting to our needs.:)

Swanny32 30-04-2011 12:07 PM

Curtis Marsh at CB, probably come in as a nickel or dime I'd have thought, still think we'll go after Asomugha, strange how we went with a corner, really thought we'd go with a Linebacker. Still, pretty happy with our first two picks, got a good feeling about both of them.

Especially with Wetherspoon coming in last year next to him.

Swanny32 30-04-2011 12:13 PM

So apparently one of the reasons we took Curtis Marsh is that he has also played a couple seasons at RB, Andy Reid looking for him to be a starting CB in the future.

From a nights sleep, I think Bill hates this draft.

We now don't have a pick in the next 50. Bill never lets that happen.

And it's a shame there's no Free Agency or Trades as I reckon some of our picks would have been traded for veterans like in 2007.

Another O Lineman for Seahawks and he is said to be another mauler type player, looks like the Seahawks are going to be playing some smash mouth football next season.

pauldrulez 30-04-2011 01:53 PM

That's what i'm starting to expect out of the Pats.

Light's never been a great run blocker. Vollmer and Mankins are maulers. Solder with a bit of development will be as well.

On a funny note, ex-Pats backup QB and media member Scott Zolak said that Kurt Warner texted Tom Brady just after Mallett was picked.

The response:

I'm playing 10 more years.

WINNING :lux:

Determined to nail a pick today on the Patriots.

5 potential Patriots:
Christian Ballard. But I don't see him dropping to the 5th round.
Sam Acho. Again, Don't see him dropping into the 5th.
Niles Paul. One of my favourite receivers in the draft in terms of being a deep threat.
Mark Herzlich. I don't care if he isn't a great OLB. As an inspiration to others, I like him.
Andrew Jackson - Fresno State pipeline for Offensive Lineman to the Patriots. Someone for Dante to develop.

Having an enjoyable Twitter conversation with Mike Carlson. So knowledgeable about the sport and the teams it's unbelievable.

I'd like the Eagles to be going for Acho myself. He looks like he could be a decent prospect at DE.

Other than that LB needs to be looked at today as we are horrible in that position at the moment. Wouldn't mind Chris Carter, K.J Wright, Greg Jones, Matthews or Herzlich added there.

I'd imagine we'll see a few trades as is the norm and maybe we'll add a bit more depth on the offense line, defensive line and a developmental QB like Ricky Stanzi or Tyrod Taylor if Kolb is traded.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 06:15 PM

Annoying that Wright is off the board so early. One less LB to look at.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 06:21 PM

Now with Acho gone as well my wishlist is dwindling.

Trading down AGAIN.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 06:53 PM

Wouldn't mind some help for special teams either. A kick off and punt returner would be very handy.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 06:57 PM

Casey Matthews it is! Good call and one of my picks!
