Pointless trade as well, I'm guessing we didn't give you anything else?

Swanny32 30-04-2011 09:49 PM

Yeah, apparently just a straight swap. Random.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 09:49 PM

Like NFL Network said - probably a couple of cheesesteaks!

Swanny32 30-04-2011 09:53 PM

Lol, oooo I want a Cheesesteak now. mmmmmm

Interest is starting to fade now although sticking with it purely because the in laws are STILL here! All this talk of the draft is getting me itching for some football. Might tune in to NFL Network tomorrow and watch some Arena Football.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 10:03 PM

Penn State running back in the 6th? Surely should have been a first round pick?? :p

pauldrulez 30-04-2011 10:05 PM

Why is Jordan Todman still on the board?

pauldrulez 30-04-2011 10:06 PM

Patriots have drafted Captains through the entire draft.

Interesting note that came out is that the highest pick is asked to be Captain to the rest of the Rookies in New England.

Apparently, the worst one of them all was Laurence Maroney. Why am I not shocked by that?

What do you think of the Eagles draft so far? Any other position you think we need to look at? I wouldn't mind a defensive lineman myself.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 10:10 PM

With Taylor just drafted I don't see any QB left on the board worth a pick. If the Eagles trade Kolb we'll have to look at free agency or a trade ourselves. Kafka looks good but as the only backup that's risky.

Chargers must've heard you. :p

Reasonably happy, we addressed the main issue in the OLine with Watkins, think he's going to be a big hit in Philly. A new safety who can tackle, has great hands, good against the run. Didn't really like the 3rd round pick in Curtis, would rather we took a Linebacker or another OLine player instead of an average at best corner. Really happy with Casey Matthews, if he is half as good as his brother we have picked up a great player there and in round 4! Some people had him going late round 2 apparently.

On a side note, the in laws have finally left!

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 10:13 PM

Damn that ginger tool Dalton's bird has some fine ass titties!

And Todman goes to the Chargers.

Look out behind you, Ryan Matthews.

Swanny32 30-04-2011 10:15 PM

Oh and good to get some depth at RB with Lewis, straight out of Pitt, ex team mate of LeSean, pretty nippy, good at finding holes, not sure if you have seen his draft video but the guy can stop and turn on a sixpence.

Swanny32 30-04-2011 10:17 PM

I think we are going to be pretty active in free agency, still need to add a decent corner, add depth or even experience in the OLine, possibly look at adding a DT as well.

Yep 3rd round could have been used for Martez Wilson at LB. Reid seems high on Marsh though but he sounds more like a project pick than anything and free agency will still be needed at corner.

Asomugha would obviously be the biggest free agent out there and he would improve our team no end.

Babin and Haynesworth have been mooted for the defensive line. I know which one I'd want & he doesn't share a nickname with a Bill Cosby show...

I wonder if we would do a trade with you guys.

One of our CB's (Darius Butler?) for one of your passrushers.

Would be interesting.

I don't see you getting Asomugha. Too much money when you already have Samuel.

Another team will throw a lot of money at him.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 10:24 PM

Greg Jones a good 6th rounder for the Giants.
