And, i'm not saying Manning's not the best QB in the world. In terms of talent etc, he may be the best.

In fact, I often wonder if given the chance, who BB would take.

For me, They are 1A and 1B of this generation. You can't separate them and i've always said that on here.

Not because of that. He wouldn't give reasoning.

Nor accept that Manning had his worst year last season.

You can argue Brady vs Manning until it gets childish, but his statement was "RIGHT NOW, Manning is best QB, period."

Based on last year, I'd have Brady, Rodgers, Ryan, Brees ahead of him.

If he plays like 09, he's probably the best.

Yeah but if, and if it's a big if, Jimmy Clausen has a blinding year and out-stats Brady because maybe some of the Patriots weapons get injured or something, you wouldn't say Clausen is a better QB. (Forget it being an if - it's clearly a hypothetical/fantasy situation).

But my point is really, does he have to give a reason? It surely comes down to personal preference - all the QBs you've mentioned are top quality future hall of famers, although you seem to have left Jake Delhomme off by accident.

Based on quality, ability to read the D, and overall leadership and passion, Manning wins by miles. Ok he was a bit naff last year but let's face it, he didn't have a great running game to help him out and the Colts receivers took one hell of a battering throughout the season.

And his no huddle offence and dual play calling is a sight to behold, love watching the Colts when they are in that mode.

Another thing I like is the short stories between programmes, most of them you would probably not know about if it wasn't for them. Heart warming a lot of them.

The one thing I can argue against this, is that Brady is at his best in the 2 minute drill.

The thing about Manning's no huddle is that he keeps a defense on the field and tires them out as they can't make substitutions.

His hand signals and calls make it memorable to fans as well, but a lot of QBs do their adjustments with a nod of a head or a tug on the facemask.

He is fluid, but he's only had one system to do within the 13 years he's been in the league.

I think a lot of it is pretty subjective though in that position. Like I think Brady probably has the record with 3 superbowls but I would still probably say I'd rather have Manning in the clutch. Now that's massively swayed by my experience of wathing the two rather than anything serious.

In terms of a Running game, it's not like he hasn't had the chance, he's got 2 first round picks in the backfield.

But, like the Pats, Pack and other teams with top Passers, you only need to have a threat of a pass to be able to run the ball. That's why Green-Ellis got his 1000 yards last year. It's why Addai got so many yards in SB44.

In terms of being able to read the D, I think the top QB's are inch-perfect at that.

Agree on the Receivers, when Blair White can step in and get 2 Touchdowns in a game, you know you're good.

But, how many times were the Pats left needing points on the last drive? I think in 2009, there were 4 games we needed points and Brady came up with the goods twice. And that was just after his injury.

And last year, there was only the Ravens game, and Brady took it to OT.

Either way, I just want football back, as we go over this argument year after year.

And the answer will always change.

After 07, Brady was the best. After 08+09, Manning was the best. After 10, Brady looked like the best.

I can't wait for December, Brady vs Manning again. In Foxboro, where it isn't Peyton's Place. ;)
