I know Seattle needed to reaplce Matt Hasselback really but TAVARIS JACKSON! Seriously!!! There need to be some questions asked at Qwest Field I think.

Although Caroll will probably have an eye on Matt Barkley as well. If the Seahawks win more than two games this season I would be very surprised. |

Rams Receivers were pathetic, even my guy Kendricks dropped 3 easy passes. |

Some real touch passes and the deep ball to Smith. |

Think I have Luck, Kellen Moore and Robert Griffin III as my top three. Can't remember at the moment if Landry Jones is a junior or senior this year presently. |
20 out of 59 in my money survival league went down last night. We have a one rebuy option, so I don't mind if they jump back in, $50 more bucks in the pot. Would have been great if Minny and Carolina could have pulled it out, that would have been another 27 screwed.

A few thoughts from yesterday...
- The Colts are up shit creek. On Gameday Final last night, they were saying that the word is that NO ONE else can run their offence apart from Peyton. Its going to take Kerry Collins a good month or so to get to terms with it. By this point, they will be way out of play off contention, so why rush Peyton back? They are looking at losing record this season. The lock out really has hurt them more than most for multiple reasons. - The Ravens look immense. Early season favourites along with the Packers after that performance. - Cam Newton played great, but lets see how he does against a solid secondary. He plays against Green Bay next week; Clay Matthews will be looking to give him a proper welcoming to the NFL! Really excited for SNF next weekend; Eagles @ Falcons. Big game this one. |

Just great to see Steve Smith back though, and playing with a smile on his face. I'll be very surprised if he punches any of his teammates in the face any time soon. |
I have taken the Lions @ 6/1 to get into the playoffs, am I off my head? ;)

Great night of football with plenty of shocks, upsets and surprises. Really enjoyed watching redzone until I fell asleep about half eleven and then thought jets cowboys was a fantastic match having watched it today.
Biggest upset of the day for me was a tie between Ravens smashing the Steelers and Bears smashing the Falcons, with Bengals nicking a win a close third. Biggest surprise was how good Cam Newton was, can say what you like about poor secondaries but to throw or over 400 yards its a fantastic effort for any QB, let alone week 1 for a rookie after a shortened off season. Be interesting to see if he keeps it up. Solid win for the Eagles, might have been different if Rams hadn't dropped so many passes and if S-Jax had stayed in the game. Concerns over o-line and LB corps but hopefully they will both improve as the season goes on, and we should be able to take advantage of the easier first half of the schedule. Think Chiefs could suck big time this year, wouldn't count them out of the Luck race. Bills are ok, but not good enough to smash the Chiefs at Arrowhead. Seahawks will win enough games at home to do ok. Two more interesting games tonight, if only I has ESPN :(, although might get up early and try and catch the end of the Broncos game due to its fantasy importance :) |
'The Luck Race' has become popular parlance since he opted out of the draft. He was a shoo-in for top pick in the draft just gone, but does anyone think his stock will drop this year? Wouldn't be the first time it's happened.
Even the potential of a nasty injury or scandal occurring aside, has he been maintaining the same form this year that got him so highly rated the season before? (Btw, I'm not suggesting he hasn't, just that I never watch the college games and have never seen him play). |

Stanford have scored over 100 points from 2 games, I think he's going alright so far. ;) |

He has started very strong though; he had 4 TD's for 290 yards on Saturday away at Duke. |

And wish the Carolina rejecting bastard a Jamarcus Russell-like career in the NFL. |
