4 days to the draft which I probably wont be watching live unless I can get the 3G on my phone to work on the way back from Hull on the coach.

Who will be the Number 1 Pick then? Jake Long, Chris Long, or even Vernon Gholston. They are the probable three as this is where the Fins will be looking.

Some of the other picks are pretty much certain. Rams will take whatever Long is left but almost certainly Chris.
Dorsey will go at 3.
McFadden may go at 4 but not certain at all as he may fall further.
5 might be Clady or Ryan.
6 could be one of many. The Jets will take whoever is left out of McFadden, McKelvin or Gholston. Although Sedrick Ellis or Keith Rivers are possibilities.
7 is the Patriots pick. They may drop out of this position. If Gholston is here they will stay. Belichick will take the best player left in the draft despite their position.

Matt Ryan and Darren McFadden are two players that are crucial to this draft. Whenever they go will shape the rest of the draft.

Two others that may move into the top 10 are Rodgers-Cromartie (CB), Ryan Clady (OT)(who may go to 5), and Branden Albert who is a Guard and has been flying up Draft-Boards just like Rodgers-Cromartie.

Others high rated are: Derrick Harvey who is DE and Jeff Otah who is an OT.

Two Longs go 1-2

Ravens to trade to 3 to get Ryan.

I'm still confident Raiders will take McFadden. They should take Dorsey but I have a feeling they won't.

5 is Dorsey, although Clady is a better fit to their needs but I don't think, if Dorsey is still here, they can overlook him.

6 is Gholston

7 will be someone else as the Pats will try to trade down otherwise will be McKelvin or Rodgers-Crom

8 (which is now Atlanta) will be Clady or Ellis (they'll pick up Brohm in round 2 as their "franchise" QB)

1-6 is correct i think.

Nothing is ever certain on draft day.

For instance: there's a very good chance St Louis will take Dorsey, assuming that Miami go with one of the Longs.

Will the draft be on English tv anywhere or is it a case of using NFL.com?

Nice one, look forward to it.

Hope the Ravens get Ryan:lux:

I dont think there is a huge difference between Ryan and Brohm really. Its just that Brohm gets injured a lot.

pauldrulez 22-04-2008 07:04 PM

There is a high amount of quality cornerbacks in this draft and I just cannot see the Patriots taking a CB in the first round. The Jets will take one of Gholston, McFadden or Ryan, whoever is there when it gets to them. If they are gone it will be McKelvin IMO.

If Gholston is there the Pats will take him, if he is not the Pats will take Keith Rivers as an OLB.

Shows what we know.

Jake Long (LT) is a Dolphin.

I said that Jake would be number 1. ;)

I wish they hadn't declared it, I would rather it was a surprise so that it would make for a good build-up to it.

And Seattle have released Alexander...

saxoneagle 22-04-2008 11:30 PM

If you have the #1 pick, it makes sense to get it sorted early to avoid the JaMarcus Russell type scenario.

Im gonna miss him but he was very ineffective last year and has really suffered with injuries.

Seattle are an interesting team to follow in this draft

Miami O-Line:

Long - TBC - Satele - Smiley - Carey

If that TBC is even half decent we could have a monster line next season. Ronnie and Ricky must me rubbing their hands in anticipation.

BLUE BOY 23-04-2008 12:30 PM

Long is overated imo, he will end up at RT after maybe 1 season at LT.

BLUE BOY 23-04-2008 12:32 PM

As a Seahawk fan am sad to see Alexander cut, but it was always going to happen but his decline in performance is quite alarming, but in saying that i have already read that the Patriots and Colts are intrested but i would'nt be surprised to see him end up a Bengeal.

Not if Vernon Carey looks as good at RT as he did before Cam made him shift to left, he won't.
