BTW this draft has some of the stupidest names i have ever seen

Benzhiyi 27-04-2008 12:07 AM

We've got rid of Lorenzo Booker!!!!!

Fourth round pick. :(

Strathclyde Eagle 27-04-2008 12:10 AM

Comedy. Turn a second round pick last year into a fourth round pick this year. Randy Mueller shouldn't be allowed to work in any kind of job in American Football for the rest of his life.

Strathclyde Eagle 27-04-2008 12:16 AM

Lots of reaches so far if you ask me. The Texans pick of a converted TE to play tackle being one, Flacco being another (I've not seen him projected in round 1 anywhere) and Jonathan Stewart (not even the key to the Oregon offence imho).

Did anyone see the footage of Rivers having everyone beat him at the Senior Bowl, followed by the footage of Mayo hammering anything that moved in his vicinity. I wouldn't have liked to have been a Bengals fan at that moment.

Despite what I said earlier I think the Chiefs have done the best job so far. They've had the picks to play with, but Dorsey and Albert (went at 15, I heard him being projected as high as 7) are very good picks.

No receivers gone so far. Interesting.

Chester 27-04-2008 12:18 AM

Lawrence Jackson, rated a C by Mel Kiper. Solid from the Seahawks with some quality picks still out there

NFL Network screen layout is almost as unreadable as Setanta Sports News. Way too much going on. Why rotate through the offseason activity when you could just stick with the team about to draft?

Strathclyde Eagle 27-04-2008 12:21 AM

Could use a list of the big names still yet to go.

Calais Campbell? After the Super Bowl I don't think the Giants will be going DL.

Benzhiyi 27-04-2008 12:21 AM

I hope that down in Davie, Ireland and Parcells are rubbing their hands with glee. All those WRs for us to choose from... or Henne, or Brohm... or Merling...

jlmatthews 27-04-2008 12:22 AM

Brian Brohm QB LOUISVILLE
Limas Sweed WR TEXAS
Devin Thomas WR MICH ST
Phillip Merling DE CLEMSON
DeSean Jackson WR CALIFORNIA
Chad Henne QB MICHIGAN
Malcolm Kelly WR OKLAHOMA
Brandon Flowers CB VA TECH
James Hardy WR INDIANA
Tyrell Johnson S ARKANSAS ST

Jets move up. QB?

No, Purdue TE Keller apparently.

Really?

Strathclyde Eagle 27-04-2008 12:28 AM

Flowers? Campbell? Merling? Kenny Phillips? I'm pretty sure he was projected higher than this a few months ago.

Benzhiyi 27-04-2008 12:28 AM

I guess they felt NYG would take Keller to replace (an outgoing?) Shockey, hence moving above them.

They've got Boss though. Seems a funny move.

jlmatthews 27-04-2008 12:30 AM

Not surprised he went this high. Just surprised by the Jets.
