Eagles look good but skins turnovers have fecked them

Funk Butter 10-09-2013 03:09 AM

Looks like RGIII doesn't trust himself right now.

SteveyHawking 10-09-2013 03:57 AM

CT_Palace 10-09-2013 04:08 AM

I like Philly there.

So I'm not a complete dipshit.

That rush offence is going to kill their lineman by week three! Effective last night but the decisions to go for the defence legs will come back to bite them several times I'm sure but it's hilarious to watch. Fat men falling down together :D

One of the things that impressed me about the Eagles last night was the decent play on defense. Other than Chung whiffing on the touchdown at the end there weren't the usual cock ups, missed tackles, lack of QB pressure and general powderpuff behaviour that has plagued the defense over the last couple of years. It's definitely a promising start especially as we're in the midst of changing from a 4-3 to a 3-4 look.

Regardless of that, he's still a huge upgrade on Kurt Coleman who I'm surprised still has a job.

I reckon it'll be another 9-7, 8-8, 8-8, 7-9 season in the NFC East. All teams pretty evenly matched.

Funk Butter 10-09-2013 03:36 PM

The story of the NFL, bad teams always find ways to lose games.

It's a good series this year.

Not as eventful as previous ones though.

Funk Butter 10-09-2013 11:12 PM

In the history of dumb NFL plays, this one doesn't even register. But for Suh to do what he did with absolutely no hope for the lineman to catch up is just dumb. $100k please.

Reminds me of Danieal Manning deciding he better take out the opposing punter so Joseph wouldn't get caught from behind on a blocked FG touchdown.

For the time-deprived fan who saw brief highlights on Eurosport last night, I was amused that John Gruden clearly has no idea what the spread option is about.

"Do you want Michael Vick running there?" Well Chucky, when the defensive end pinches in too far down the line of scrimmage that's what he's meant to do. The result? 6 points for the Eagles. Having watched and enjoyed Chip Kelly and those Oregon teams he coached for years I know who I'd pick as being smarter.

Whether it will keep Vick healthy is another matter. I can't see that offense being the same in the hands of Nick Foles.
