I know we missed out on Luck but I am kind of glad he didn't come out in 2011. Cam is a bloody good QB and we are finally getting pieces to fit.
As I said before that Loss to Arizona in 2008 which let's face it was a bit of a shock at the time effectively destroyed the Franchise and destroyed Jake Delhomme's NFL career in the process. He never ever recovered from that defeat, in a season where he was top notch for us. 12-4 to then go 4 seasons on losing record says a lot about how much of a step now being 4-3 is! :p

Yes, that and Jimmy Clausen* :p
I'm a Bucs fan so I've suffered through my fair share of awful football teams (and one very good one) so I know what you mean. I must admith though even I was pretty surprised when I heard about not being over .500 since 2008.
I hadn't seen that much of Carolina up to recently so was surprised to hear some of the negative press re Cam a few weeks ago. I rate him very, very highly** but of course I would take Luck over him. Seems like the Panthers are getting it together, need a win against a real contender to get everyone else believing though. Perhaps that is the Pats?
*Inspried by this thread I have just checked more Panthers stuff and seen that you actually draft quite well in general
** As a NFL QB. In general he annoys me intensely!
