The Ahmad Brooks tackle on Brees fine was a bit baffling. I haven't read an explanation, was it to back the referee and the penalty call? If no fine they would be disagreeing with the penalty call.

Costly call in more ways than one...

No, they ended up fining Brooks. The guy that yanked Matt Ryan down by the face mask probably won't even get a slap on the wrist and Brooks get busted for making a good tackle.

Oh, I misread your comment. But they didn't have to fine Brooks because they said he started at the chest and his arm "slid up to the head".

The same bullshit suspensions and fines are happening here in Australia with AFL. Players suspended for nothing more than being in the wrong spot at the wrong time, accidental or in some instances head contact initiated by negligent victims are resulting in suspensions and fines for the "guilty" player.

Panthers now 8-3 so at least we can't have a losing season this year. :o I would take 10-6 this year in all honesty.

We have Buccs, Falcons, then Saints x2, so who are our other two against?

Meh, Dolphins got a challenge that shouldn't have been ruled on a key third down. Panthers victory, streaky though it was after a first half from poohville, owed more to a ballsy 4th and 10 from Cam and Smitty on the final drive.

I'd love it, love it if we beat those greazy Saints.
