The flip side for Cardinals, 1st pick in Round 2 and Metcalf is still on the board though I hope we go for Taylor

Murray, has undeniable talent, but the same was said about Rosen. Much like the issue with Rosen this season, in a division where the Rams have the best pass rusher, 49ers now have Ford and Bosa, and even the Seahawks have strengthend, we have 2 decent WRs but decent a best in Fitz and Kirk and Johnson who lost his way due to an awful scheme last year.

I know KK is in love with Murray, but surely a key component to pulling the trigger on this move was securing some kind of compensation for Rosen?

Now, you are basically hoping that the Patriots (or Chargers maybe?) decide to throw you what, a third round pick? You have very little leverage now and I can't see anyone giving up much to take him off you.

Thats the most frustrating bit. Believe we were offered a 2nd round pick from the Giants. the only way this ends well is if there is an injury crisis and all of a sudden teams want Rosen asap.

Also have to worry about a GM who signs Bradford, then takes Rosen 1st pick to only then pick another QB the year after. In the meantime, after rosen last year both Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph went after (Rudolph in round 3!). Could have traded down, got Jackson and picked up a number of other talents including Rudolph, Nick Chubb etc. The whole game plan is rotten.

Of course as per usual, the Falcons have screwed up the draft again. They draft a mid-second round graded guard at #14 (after signing two guards in the off-season to long-term contracts), then trade their 2nd and 3rd round picks to draft a 3rd round graded right offensive tackle. So they basically threw the #14 pick in the trash to get two players they probably could have gotten in the 2nd and 3rd round.

I've lived here for nearly 38 years, and have somewhat of an interest in The NFL (well watching it anyway), and to this day I have completely no understanding of how this whole draft thing works!

Yesterday it took over prime time on one of the major networks (ABC) for the entire afternoon and evening, and from what I saw was more like The Oscars night!

From the bits I saw, most of the guys seem to think they have made the big time and acting like Billy Big Bullocks before they have even played a second of professional ball... at a minimum they are spending money on the strength of future income!

Here’s GM Dave Gettleman, answering a question about the moment he fell for Jones. For a guy with whom the Giants are entrusting the franchise for, they hope, the next decade-plus, it was a decidedly meet-cute. Like, exactly-three-months-ago recent.

“I had seen Kyler and Will play each other. I had seen Dwayne play in the Big 12—is that the big 12 anymore? So I had seen those three guys play. And to me it’s really important that you see quarterbacks play [in person]. Seeing them in the environment is very important.

“I had decided to stay for the [Senior Bowl] game. And frankly, he walked out there and I saw a professional quarterback, after the three series that I watched. I saw a professional quarterback, so that’s when I was in full-bloom love.”
So, Dave Gettleman thinks that Ohio State plays in the Big 12. I'm sure his time in New York will go fantastically.

Dolphins trade for Josh Rosen

CP-RJW 27-04-2019 10:48 AM

Tight end Irving Smith to the Vikings has lead to speculation of Kyle Rudolph to the Patriots.

All or Nothing with the Panthers and Cam should be interesting

Funk Butter 12-07-2019 03:09 AM

I'm sure the Redskins are thrilled that Josh Norman uses his offseason to hop over bulls in Pamplona.

Very enjoyable watch this. Newton is a character. Also have the basis of a decent team though without a real star receicer (Perhaps Chris Hogan) could be that guy, plus the doubts about Cams shoulder means they are hard to fancy again to go more than 8-8

Have my Fantasy Draft with former work colleagues today. Waiting to see who's going to have Andrew Luck autoselected for them in their absence.

LLCOOLSTEVE 25-08-2019 05:40 PM

Andrew Luck will be back as a starting QB within 3 years

hughff 26-08-2019 03:15 AM

I wonder if the Colts have the cahones to pick up Kapernick to fill his slot.
