Good enough reasons of any.

For me it was the first game I saw - Cowboys v 49ers. I chose the 9ers for that game as I didn't want to support a team that was from a city I only knew due to a glitzy soap opera and a character called JR. :D
Stuck with them ever since.

Same for most sporting events in LA. Been to an Angels v Yankees game and more New Yorkers than Angels fans, same when a Boston team is in town. Went to a Clippers v Celtics game… predominately a green crowd.

Clearly shows what a fickle bunch LAers are for their sports teams. All those "away" supporters can only be buying their tickets from the local concession (season ticket) holders who prefer a fast buck to supporting their team.

Nine players in their first year of eligibility are among the list of 173 Modern-Era Nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

Those making the list for consideration for the first time include wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Jordy Nelson, tight end Antonio Gates, running back Jamaal Charles, offensive linemen T.J. Lang, Josh Sitton and Max Unger, and defensive linemen Haloti Ngata and Julius Peppers.
Of that list, I think it is clear that Peppers and Gates are in a no-doubter tier of their own and I think the others should try again next year.

9ers with a nice win last night. 3-0 is a good start. We're looking good this year!

love watching McCaffrey and Kittle fight for every yard.

Latvian Eagle 24-09-2023 09:59 PM

Andy Dalton starts for Carolina tonight, Bryce Young missed practice all week with an ankle injury.

EagleSE24 24-09-2023 11:51 PM

70 points for the dolphins against the Broncos!

What’s going on with Justin Fields by the way? Is he just not very good, playing in a poor team, or both?

CT_Palace 24-09-2023 11:58 PM

Couldn't have happened to a pair of more dislikable guys: Payton and Wilson
:D :D :D

CT_Palace 02-10-2023 02:27 AM

9ers 4-0

McCaffrey is on a roll.

Dingle 02-10-2023 02:39 AM

Brock Purdy is legit. Im sure the 49ers never planned for him to be a starting qb for them when they drafted him but he's made the step up without skipping a beat. Genuine superbowl contenders

CT_Palace 02-10-2023 05:20 AM

big test next week v Cowboys.

First game I saw in 82 was Raiders at Cowboys. I picked Raiders and they went on to win the Superbowl the following season. Golf Boy picked the Redskins that year, the glory hunter... :D

9ers off to a good start!

CT_Palace 09-10-2023 03:17 AM

what a play for the 2nd TD !!!

Even though the 9ers defense have been excellent, it's a very tight game.

CT_Palace 09-10-2023 05:10 AM

A thoroughly enjoyable night's football :lux:

If this 9ers unit can stay injury free they will have a great chance.
Every area tonight was excellent, defense, offense and special teams.

Glad you enjoyed the game. SF were head and shoulders above Dallas. As a Dallas fan for 35+ years, I swore my way through a recording of the game this morning.
Dak is an absolute joke whilst , Brock Purdy shows him how to be a top QB on $850k v Daks $42m
Nothing will change whilst the Jones' clowns still own the club.
Hope the 49ers get to the SB at the expense of Philly.

I think the Cowboys are better than they showed last night. The current 9ers defense is a nightmare to play against at the best of times but with Prescott still trying to improve the the much quicker drop and pass techniques Mike McCarthy is trying to get them to play, the plan fell apart.

Advertising an upcoming game at Spurs ground during Monday Night Football.

Going to be at Totting-Ham Hot-Spurs Stadium...

I came to LA in late 1981, and The Raiders moved to LA for that coming season. Went to a few games at the LA Coliseum to see them, and basically became a fan of theirs. They went on to win the Superbowl as you say...

Being a Palace fan, this just didn't seem right. I had no concept of "supporting" a team that won cups!

I guess in pursuing years, they have slipped back to Palace like levels of mediocrity! Prior to my affiliation with them in 1981, they were the winningest sports franchise in history (around .750) and had never lost on Monday night football... I soon put the mockers on all that!

3 key injuries today and the 9ers struggle.
