3 interceptions and 2 sacks so far for the Ravens. We knew they were good but they've been great so far today.

And now a fumble recovery inside the red zone. :(

Strathclyde Eagle 04-01-2009 08:58 PM

20-3 Ravens. :(

elliott 04-01-2009 08:59 PM

Yep.

I think it will take a very good offensive performace to beat this Ravens D.

elliott 04-01-2009 09:04 PM

yup. they are looking exceptional.

finheaven is a mess at the minute. i hate how fickle americans are.

satele is however getting absolutely bumraped by ngata. he's too undersized.

elliott 04-01-2009 09:05 PM

good work henning. this is looking sensible. good reaction to the pressure...

elliott 04-01-2009 09:08 PM

balls.

pauldrulez 04-01-2009 09:09 PM

I called that play as I turned over and heard 8 from 8.

Said to my dad, watch Ed Reed here.

elliott 04-01-2009 09:10 PM

its a fair shout. he was right to jump on that. they'd been dumping it short on him the whole drive.

pauldrulez 04-01-2009 09:12 PM

People said this weeks ago. If someone completely shuts down the run, he wont be able to do it himself with that Receiver corps especially without Camarillo who reminds me of Welker.

If there is a positive, its lucky he was stumbling as that could have gone to the house.

elliott 04-01-2009 09:18 PM

come on miami. make it competitive at least...

davematt 04-01-2009 09:19 PM

They have to convert a TD here to keep this alive.

davematt 04-01-2009 09:19 PM

And they have! Game on! TD Fins. Great catch from Brown.

elliott 04-01-2009 09:21 PM

11pt game. onsides or not? i'm not sure, but the baltimore o is very capable of running this clock...

davematt 04-01-2009 09:22 PM

Oh dear. Blocked for the 1pt Field conversion

Not to rub it in.

But if you would all like to join an orderly queue:

The New England Patriots have decided to ensure that quarterback Matt Cassel won't be an unrestricted free agent, as scheduled in March.

Sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that the Patriots will use a franchise tag on Cassel that will give the team two options: Trade him if all goes well with Tom Brady's rehabilitation from a knee injury or keep him because all is not well with Brady.

The Patriots' intention to franchise Cassel was first reported by the National Football Post.

That would mean the Patriots would have about $29 million in salary cap space tied up in two quarterbacks, with Brady earning almost $15 million and Cassel guaranteed over $14 million.

However, the cap jumps to $123 million per team, which gives the Patriots $94 million to manage the rest of their roster.

"That's a smart move. You don't want to go into a season with uncertainty at that position," Patriots safety Rodney Harrison told ESPN's Rachel Nichols. "We figure Brady is going to be all right, but it always helps to have two great QBs."
