This article is really interesting, and a few of the incidents I actually noticed on Sunday. Interior line is something that can often be missed by fans, but this article is spot-on.

The blitz pick-up, particularly between Samson and EK was some of the worst pass blocking I've seen in professional football.

Benzhiyi 08-01-2009 05:33 PM

Wow. Two good Salguero pieces in a row. Maybe I should cut him some slack.

(He's absolutely right about Satele, sadly.)

I expect us to again concentrate on linemen in the draft, with a receiver coming aboard during the second day.

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 05:43 PM

Who are your receivers?

Ginn, Camarillo and Bess? As well as Fasano.

Have I missed someone out?

elliott 08-01-2009 06:35 PM

No.

None of them are particularly good, and at one point on Sunday we only had two fit receivers.

I think its sensible, along with a middle LB and some def backfield.

I think Miami's priorities draftwise must be C, OG, LB, WR, DB, NT
They might well also FA a WR and a MLB, and possibly one of the line spots and/or NT.

It's even quite well written too. Normally the writings appauling and the spelling is worse.

However, I've found he's quite often fairly close to the mark with what he's trying to say, even if he's rubbish at saying it.

I like Camarillo and Ginn.

You need another receiver. I would say a veteran rather than a rookie.

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 06:50 PM

Amani Toomer is a Free Agent. He would be a good pick up.

Think I prefer Bess to Ginn at the moment. Beside one drop he did far more in the Baltimore game.

My point about the receivers is that because we weren't expecting them to be any good [they were considered the weak link at the beginning of the year], people say how well they did, much like the O-line in 07 did quite a good job on the whole, because I expected absolutely nothing from them.

Everyones seen how quickly NFL changes. The number of absolutely shocking bust players who've had one good year is remarkable. You shouldn't call someone good over one year. Give it 3 and then start to make an opinion.

Therefore, I still think we're weak out wide. Toomer would be good (watching a lot of De La Salle football at the minute!). I'd certainly prefer a vet over a rookie. A few people are touting Housh...

Latvian Eagle 08-01-2009 07:37 PM

I wish I could comment more on Houshmanzadeh (sp?) but unfortunately Sky don't seem to show a lot of Bengals games!

pauldrulez 08-01-2009 07:56 PM

I think the Bungals have been on twice all year.

I dont know if Hoosyomomma will go to Miami. I think a team that have (no disrespect to Chad) a big game quarterback who can go long as well. A Warner-type whether him or not.

Charlotte is really buzzing at the moment in anticipation for Saturday's game, although it's obviously nothing compared to a Brighton Palace FA Cup game.

Didn't realise you were from North Carolina! :hi: One day I hope to go to BOA Stadium! I think we have as good a chance as any other team to win it this year. It's wide open, last year it was all Pats Pats Pats, thankfully not one team has really truly dominated like that!

Well, from Tooting originally, moved out here about 2 years ago and have taken the Panthers to my heart. :)
