I had a big argument with my wife and her dad about whether or not wild Panthers exist in Carolina, because they keep saying they've seen them.

Apparently, there's been none in Carolina for many years, and the only wild Panthers left in the USA are in a special reservation in Florida.

That was until this incontravertible evidence emerged, of course.

Tyrone McKenzie done for the year.

No punching things, Paul.

pauldrulez 07-05-2009 06:45 PM

One of the few players I liked from the Draft. Disappointing, but what can you do. Looked into his background after he was drafted and he's had a shit life, gets drafted and gets his leg screwed up by an UDFA. Should be able to get back for 2010.

Would have started alongside Mayo by halfway through the year and spoke very well as only the 3rd player on Patriots Radio. Unless anyone took my recommendation, you also missed Adam Schefter on the same show as Tyrone in his first interview since being put on gardening leave my the NFL Network.
Made it pretty clear that he wont be going back to the NFLN, will move to ESPN in August at the latest, but possibly End of May if something can be sorted.

Benzhiyi 08-05-2009 10:38 AM

Shit, didn't realise Shefter was off. That's a massive loss for NFL Network.

pauldrulez 08-05-2009 12:51 PM

Hasn't posted an article since March 15th on NFL.com

Despite me not really liking him, he came across really well, was obviously at home as you could hear a baby in the background.

Was talking about the Patriots off-season, a bit about other teams drafts, the rest of the AFC East etc.

NFLN could be gone in 2 years if what was said on the show is right. And considering one of the guys is the director of media for the Pats, he must know something (I would hope). ESPN get a great pickup here.

That's about as much of your bullshit as I think I can take.

You've never ONCE, ONCE had a good word for the man in this entire thread and now he's cosying up with some Pats top dogs you think he "comes across really well".

You're going on ignore.

pauldrulez 08-05-2009 05:52 PM

He came across well.

Top dogs? Yeah right, they beg for lunch. Only of the guys has anything about him, the rest work for the paper.

He came across well, he could have been talking absolute shite for all we know, but he came across better than any other time he has.

I prefer Wyche and Lombardi, but its obvious this guy has his sources. I never said he was shit, just that he had a smarmy file. Go search for all my posts about him and Mayock. I still dont like Mayock or Schefter, but they are the 2 best at their job (despite my preference for Kiper although he is losing it judging by his Cassel a top 5 QB analysis)

pauldrulez 08-05-2009 05:54 PM

Top dogs, if they could see you saying that, they'd be pissing themselves laughing.

One has contact with the Krafts and runs a lot of the projects within the Patriots. The others are journalists.

I'd put people on ignore but not worth the effort.

saxoneagle 08-05-2009 06:00 PM

Paul, I was referring to top dogs in your little world, not in the real world.

pauldrulez 08-05-2009 06:24 PM

Yes, whatever you say

Are you back bumming Favre yet?

pauldrulez 08-05-2009 06:27 PM

And while i'm here before I go out.

According to sources, the Patriots and Jason Taylor have shook hands on a deal.

We need him, I don't want Bruschi playing more than one down a series and this means we can have a better rotation on the inside while Taylor and Thomas are on the edge.

At least I am consistent in my praise or otherwise, Paul.

You don't even know whether your coming or going until your friends "in the know" tell you.

jazman 08-05-2009 08:27 PM

They've set up a fund for the Cowboys staffer paralised by the collapsed training facility. Poor guy. It seemed that the organisation were contacted by lots of people asking how they help him and his family. It does give you back some confidence in man kind doesn't it ... I hope Jerry Jones will be making a donation to the fund :p

First people to say they would(not should) franchise Cassel. 2 out of the 4 said no chance of first round pick for him. 2 of them aren't even Patriots fans. Not even going to bother listing a lot of their stuff they do, but at least their opinions about the team are accurate.

Consistent in praise? So people aren't allowed to change an opinion. I still think he is a smarmy bastard, but he is one of the best in the business at his job.

Maybe some of the players should dip into their considerable wage packets for him.

Or maybe the people who built the place should be contributing.

Latvian Eagle 09-05-2009 01:20 AM

Has Favre retired?

Yes I know I'm probably 3 months out of date! But I haven't really been keeping up to date with the NFL of late! Been concentrating more on NBA! :p
