I know the Curran brothers are unavailable for a lot of Championship games but I cannot see why Dunn is still in the squad. He should have been released

Reece Topley took 5 for 66 in Gloucestershire's first innings in the previous game but wasn't in the team against Leicestershire. Is he injured again or is he unable to play back to back games?

The guy on BBC Radio London had a chat with Reese during the game and it’s managing his workload as he’s had very little red ball cricket in recent times.
However, they did have Plunkett on 12th man duties so maybe could have used him.

Plunkett vs Dunn with the red ball.

Next week we discuss Aylott vs Langley up front....:p

Thanks

I thought that with his history of injuries he may have picked up another one. Managing his return to red ball cricket will hopefully see him play a few times in the CC

I think his height as a fast bowler contributes to his body not being up to playing every game.

Reece Topley and Rikki Clarke in the squad for tomorrow's game at Lords

Matt Dunn has been 'rested'

He's a bit better when there is no batsman at the other end

Yep, massive kudos to him. In this day & age of white ball cricket with its innovative shots & amazing relay-boundary-catches, I love a good, honest reliable red ball county cricketer. See also Tim Murtagh.

Guess who has got two early Surrey wickets at Lords.....

Catford Eagle 22-04-2021 03:31 PM

Nice to see the lads really getting their heads down at Lord's. Might crack 120, fingers crossed.

Smashed it with only eight down :p

Lancashire are 260-7 at the end of Day 1 against Kent. I'd say that it's even at the moment.

Maiden Eagle 22-04-2021 08:51 PM

Surrey are utter toilet, aren't they ? Even worse than Palace:o

Mick 23-04-2021 05:54 PM

Surrey now looking forward to another defeat. Amla, a duck in both innings must be somewhat rare.

There's an absolute clown on the Surrey version of the BBS who claims we 'edged' the day yesterday & should be looking to post a big lead tomorrow.....

desperado 23-04-2021 07:20 PM

If Surrey put their minds to it they could lose this one inside three days

Prince Phillip 23-04-2021 07:41 PM

If the skipper can shovel another 50-70 runs through midwicket - allied to a bit of tail waggage - could set a total. Give Amla a bowl, otherwise the accounts department might start to query his salary....

I fancy them to get a 170/180 lead and skittle Middlesex out for 120:)

I'm not sure what you're on, Andy. But can I have some?

You have got to be a optimist supporting Surrey and Palace. Backed Palace at 15/2 to win Monday as well. Burns losing his wicket first thing hardly helps things though.

RobertCPFC 24-04-2021 12:13 PM

Not going well for Kent.

Crawley who was the one player who did well yesterday was out first ball of the day as well.

LuieJack 24-04-2021 12:22 PM

It's hard trying to imagine how much worse Surrey can get, the season has barely started and we are already looking lost, where and how has it all gone so badly wrong? surely our "legend" Alec Stewart needs to take a long hard look at his leadership as currently we look like a ship without a rudder.
