How about Akon’s approach, of shouting “convict” at the start of his songs?

I’m still annoyed about Joe’s dealer’s pricing.

You get a discount the more you buy up to 4 for 100, but don’t get a further discount if you buy 6 for 150. I could have just bought 4 for 100 and 2 for 50 separately, and it would still be the same price.

I’m starting to suspect that Joe’s dealer might not be a mathematician.

You don't even get a discount if you buy 3. Its the same price as buying 1 for £30 and 2 for £50.

I'm assuming its 0.4g of coke. Peoels are getting skanked by Joe's man.

What about 4 for 30 twice? That means you get 8 for 60 and drops all day.

Bargains all day

Forget mathematics, he can’t spell either and I can see WCB and Steve having a row with this dealer.

Environmental Enforcement Officers - had one trying to get my details and fine me for throwing a cigarette down a drain. I did not give him my details despite him saying he would call the police. They have no power to detain.

917L 05-08-2023 04:09 PM

Whoever controls the variable speed limits and signage between junction 5 and 7 on the M20 towards Dover

Almost every day as you pass junction 5 it will be reduced to 60 alongside a message, Accident; lane blocked, Pedestrians in road etc

Sometimes it will be further reduced to 50 at Junction 6

Every time you get to Junction 7 the slip road will show national speed limit suns whilst the gantry over the M20 will be blank, about a mile further on past the entry slip from junction 7 there will br a small ‘End’ sign in the central reservation

Not once, has there ever been an accident, pedestrian or lane blocked, to cause this

This happens irrespective of traffic density, weather conditions or day of the week

Wankers

So you're ok with littering?

gold76 05-08-2023 04:19 PM

Watching Good Omens on Amazon, a harmless, inoffensive program, probably if there was a rating it would be PG or 12..

But a trigger warning for alcohol use, why is that needed? I'm assuming a character had a bevvy in a pub.

But why is drinking so frowned upon, it's not illegal and only boorish or offensive if done to excess.

It brings in fortunes in duty for example..

Is it done as a warning to those addicted or are boozehounds the scum of the universe akin to smokers now?

Did you miss the word “drain”?.

Also, the fines are wholly disproportionate and largely fill the pockets of private companies.

If your cigarette has a filter then the drain isn't the place for it.

Absolutely agree with your main point, I've been on the end of them myself.

The property buying/selling process in this country. How, 5 months after accepting an offer, going through all the bollocks with the solicitors etc etc can the buyers be allowed to pull out and not face paying any kind of compensation for wasting your ******* time. I've spent thousands in this time on mortgage payments, council tax etc as i've already moved in with my bird and didn't rent the place out because a sale was in process.

And then estate agents, I thought these fat tongued, plastic suit from Moss Bros ***** were meant to keep both sides of the deal motivated and ensure the sale is a smooth process, not convince you to shave a few k of the asking price because "these are cash buyers so it will be a quick transaction" and then you don't hear from them again. *****

Isle of Wight 10-08-2023 11:49 AM

Agree with you. Should be binding unless a reason, damp search comes up with something house falling down etc, makes it justified. If you do you should be responsible for the sellers costs up until that time.

The 2 divs presenting on Sky sports news at the moment. I've got it on as background noise, and in the last half hour, I've heard them say how well Wes Fotheringham played for us yesterday after coming in due to Guaita refusing to play (?!!!), and how well Tom Brady looks at 49 years of age - he's 47, so not far off, but even still. I had to rewind the Wes Fotheringham bit to check I hadn't misheard as that is such a piss poor error, given they've literally just showed the highlights of the game.

Alan Smith on co commentary. Why hasn't this boring twat not been binned off by Sky yet and you just know we're going to be subjected to his Arsenal bias next Monday night football.

There is a lot worse, namely Carragher, the revolting Liverpool biased incomprehensible idiot who gobs in kid's faces ... yet Sky still employ.

Understand both perspective on this. Smiths info is interesting enough but he his voice is monotonous and he has got further up the A***’s A*** with every season.

Carra is just awful and if he hadn’t formed the double act with Neville he would be long gone.

He's as stiff as a board and joins in with that eejit Michah when they both break into bouts of uncontrollable false laughter over some remark that wasn't even mildly amusing.
Seems the two of them are trying way too hard to impress on the viewers what a great laugh they are all having.

Doctor's surgeries and appointments. With mine, I don't think the right and left hands are connected.

Long story short, I finally give in and try arrange a telephone appointment "to discuss [for the 3rd time] recent test results". Now face to face appointments have a time. With a lot of pushing, I get my phone appt "between 4.30 and 6.00"

Why between ffs??

At least it's narrowed it down a bit, my GP won't give any specific time just sometime in that day for the call.

:grrr:When you chase round various record stores on RSD to find a particular album burning time and petrol and then 3 months later the band put it out as their next release.

When my neighbour had covid… I walked his dogs and got his shopping.

I just texted him.

“I’ve caught covid”

He replied

“Get well soon”

Cheers bro

My wife told our neighbour during lockdown to text if she needed any emergency items from the supermarket.

Response came back:

- Shower spray
- Porridge oats
- Toenail clippers
- Paper cups
- Extra long matches

She complained about the oats, which was particularly galling as I'd visited three supermarkets as the other two had run out. I must have done three or fours rounds of bullshit errands and my wife only ever received a £5 note.

A guy at the gym is annoying me somewhat. He ******* howls everytime he does a rep with the weights. I wouldn’t mind if he was some strongman/Mr Olympia type breaking records (actually I would), but he’s just a 40+ average dude with a gusset hanging off him. He’s only benching around 20KG on each side. Nothing to be ashamed of, but nothing impressive either.

To make it even more irritating, he’ll sing out loud, between sets and when finished he does a little jig between different equipment like he’s Justin Timberlake or something.

Oh, an shadow boxing the mirror while making noises like “pah, pah, pah” or “bam, bam, bam”.

Leave it out, you ****.

Ask him what he thinks he's doing?
