My first year following the sport, and clearly better than what followed.

Which in itself was better than the Vicious Boys.

Incidentally for old NFL stuff that guy's YouTube channel is awesome - his username is YouMeandFresnoBob.

Lockout still not over, quite glad to have taken myself away from it. Don't feel like I've missed anything. Only thing vaguely NFL related I've listened to was the Rich Eisen/Curb Your Enthusiasm podcast, which mentioned just about nothing about the NFL. :D

saxoneagle 20-07-2011 11:24 PM

I'm out for a keeper league for this year, mostly because I'll be on auto-draft for most of the regular one we do!

Swanny32 20-07-2011 11:40 PM

Once the lockout is over we'll get a thread up and see who is interested.

Who needs the NFL season as long as Michelle Beadle is still on our screens  ;)

League has told the owners to be ready to vote this afternoon, this thing looks like it could almost be over at last!

jazman 21-07-2011 08:42 PM

I'm bored with it all if I'm honest. Certain players have lost a lot of my respect after this debacle. It's sport at the end of the day ...

Me. I care.

1. I have no idea who she is.
2. I have no TV.
3. I have no inclination to find out.

Give me some ******* football!

jazman 21-07-2011 08:52 PM

There would be no football at the moment anyway ... ;)

pauldrulez 21-07-2011 09:01 PM

Logan Mankins and Vincent Jackson can **** right off.

$10m or they wont help the CBA go through.

2 players holding 32 teams and nearly 2000 players (inc free agents, UDFA's, draftees etc)

Similarly, aren't Peyton Manning and Drew Brees trying to wangle things so that they can't be forced to take the franchise tag?

I know Brees (and maybe MAnning) has been named among players who say they want nothing and will sign off on the suit.

I would want the owners to play hard ball with MAnkins and JAckson, see how long they'll last given not only will they be hurting the owners, but also the fans and their fellow players. Would rather no football than two players hold everyoe for ransom, it's the principle.

Owners voted yes on proposed cba (Oakland abstained for some reason). Facilities open Saturday, free agency Wednesday!

Just to clarify, that is not a definite timetable just what the owners want, as the article explains there are still issues to be resolved (basically on the players side).

For us sure, for them a career and their future life.

Oakland didn't vote because they forgot to wake Al from his coffin.
