They need to learn how to hold the bat first. At the moment they are traumatised by losing in Australia I think would need some counselling before they are left out

Seems to me that whatever the format, whenever the ECB decide to sacrifice a series as a stepping stone for greater challenges ahead - the team go onto stuff up the greater challenges ahead, too.

I think the 2019 WC shows that that isn't always the case.
