The Tender Bar
Directed by George Clooney with Ben Affleck and I guess fairly new comer Tye Sheriden. Premise young kid grown up in the 70s and 80s with a nonexistent father and poor family home but with solid living family. Kid aspires to be a writer and gotta say I found very enjoyable. Not my usual cup of tea but I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. Good watch! |

Moonrise Kingdom - I’m a big Wes Anderson fan but I thought it was the weakest of his films. It was classic Anderson but I struggled to laugh like I do in most of his other films.
Was still worth a watch 67/96

The Hurricane - based on the true events of Rubin Carter being wrongfully imprisoned.
It’s a great watch. 70/89

The Power of the Dog - Best Drama & Best Director (Jane Campion), at the disgraced Golden Globes. You couldn't make it up!
The Emporer's new clothes comes to mind. A truly awful film, despite a great cast and setting.

I would say The life Aquatic was his weakest film, I struggled to watch half of it

The King's Man (screen 7)
Origin story of the Kingsman series. Great cast and manages to throw a big surprise halfway through. The king pin baddy was not though. The little post credit snippet sets up the sequel too. Like a lot of films these days it's a little too long A not as good as the 1st but better than the 2nd 7/10.

Utterly brilliant and on Prime. A single 90 minute take.

Oh amazing. I didn't realise it was on Prime. I'd planned to go to the cinema for it, but there's a few other films I want to catch too so may have to watch it on Prime.

I disagree with you. I've enjoyed several of his films in the past, but this one is where he disappears up his own arse in my opinion.
