Eventually, Donky Dunk or a colleague will carry it forward until press, and the trigger is that press, because immediately a forward player will drop in between the lines to receive the ball, unmarked, and turn. Dunk only has to pass it to the wide open guy before his man makes it to him, or pass it sideways if he isn't on.

The fact that you think that sex pest keeps the ball somehow on his own until space opens up as if by magic is funny, that's your childish view of the game before you, and you can't see what De Zerbi has got them doing. This is why your recruitment isn't all that, because he can get ordinary players to play this system as long as he has enough scoring quality. As soon as he was in he dumped the hackers who couldn't score off to Everton and the likes whilst flogging average midfielders who were able to simply pick up the ball with nobody on them, and turn and pass it again - average.

De Zerbi is the difference, and either opposition managers understand what he's doing or he leaves you. Potter didn't play like this which is why your average players were below us in the league, someone has to get De Zerbi off you and if I were Bloom I'd pay that man the club record wages.

You think that I think Dunk does everything on his own as if by magic???? Are you a bit dim?? If your so clever and Dunk isn't important tell me why he is the only player who never gets rotated or subbed? You think that any Prem defender can encourage a press onto themselves then beat that press while seeing the picture on the Pitch? Dunk is the leader he is the Orchestrator. Even our GK gets rotated and there is no other club in England that regularly does that, but Dunk doesn't if you are dumb enough to think that the way Brighton play is easy, lead by Dunk then it's you that doesn't understand football

The Man Utd game Dunk had the third most touches of the ball behind Gross and Van Hecke. The Wolves game Dunk had the most touches out of everyone, I haven't checked the Newcastle game but again I'm sure he will be up there amongst the most touches. If you can't see that he is important to the way we play then it's you that don't understand our tactics.

I think Van Hecke is being groomed to take his place the way things are turning out.
